The earliest school song of the school is the "Song of Tangshan Institute of Engineering of National Jiaotong University" composed in 1934, the lyrics of which are written by Mr. Wu Zhihui, an academician of the ** Research Institute, and the composer is to be examined. Wu Zhihui had a close friendship with Sun Hongzhe, who had served as the president of the Tang Academy for three years, and it was under Sun Hongzhe's introduction that he met Sun Yat-sen in 1905 and joined the League. Before and after the May Fourth Movement, he was invited to the Tang Academy as a teacher of Chinese language and history.

In order to make teachers and students aware of the important responsibility of the national crisis, he wrote the song for the Tang Academy, when he was 69 years old, which was the third time that Sun Hongzhe served as the president of the Tang Academy. Although he was a veteran of the Kuomintang and had great influence, he adhered to the "no-** doctrine" and was mostly engaged in the cultural undertakings of advocating Chinese phonetics and the Chinese language movement. In 1937, Japan launched a full-scale war of aggression against China, and the school was occupied by the Japanese army, and was forced to move to Hunan, Guizhou, Chongqing and other places, and successively enrolled students and taught in 6 places, and returned to Tangshan in 1946 after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War.
