Letters are rare. Whether you believe in it or not, whether it is a Buddha or not, it is the first door.

Well, I had the same problem.

At first, I was looking for the way in, when I was reading Nan Huai Jin's "Research on Life Science and Meditation Practice" (also known as "The Seven Days of Southern Zen"), in which Nan Shi mentioned several treatises when he mentioned the introduction to Buddhism, including "The Stages of the Path to Bodhi", "The Treatise on Kusha", and "The Treatise on the Land of Yogis". However, he knew that he could not directly understand the original text due to his short roots, so he chose the writings of the Dharma teachers and good knowledge so that he could understand the original work.

Here are some of the key points that I mentioned in the Lamrim that I mentioned in my daily teachings that need to be paid attention to by Buddhists:

The Buddhist scriptures and the commentaries created by the bodhisattvas and patriarchs are the best guidance for our practice, but because of the poor rootedness of sentient beings, the great bodhisattvas and patriarchs use various teachings to explain the profound principles in the sutras and commentaries. As a result, after studying these teachings, some people are unable to understand their relationship to the essence of the vast sutras, and they are unable to generate an unwavering solution to the vast and perfect sutras that the World-Honored One has said, but feel that since there are so many teachings, there is no need to write sutras, and they abandon the sutras. Since we don't understand that the sutras are the teachings of spiritual practice, it leads to a misunderstanding

What is said in the great sutras and great treatises is all used to talk about it, and there is no need for these things when you really practice, and the important purpose of real practice is not in the sutras, and there are also some professors who teach the essence of cultivation, which is really important. As a result, a misunderstanding arises about the Dharma that is taught to the World-Honored One, thinking that there are two types of Dharma, one is for reasoning, and the other is for practice, and those who want to be rational should read a lot of great sutras, and those who want to practice should not study the sutras, because learning the teachings and practicing are two different things. As a result, what is really important is to understand the truth and practice in order to truly solve the problem, and since we don't need theories in our current practice, we will naturally think that the great sutras and great treatises are dedicated to reasoning and not practice, and we will despise them, and we will not be able to develop a sense of respect and deep belief in them, so we will not respect the correct and infallible sutras of sutra, the sutras of Esoteric Buddhism (called continuations), and the texts that explain the correct connotations, and will even be contemptuous.

In fact, for the study of Buddhism, respect and belief are extremely important, and without respect and faith, it is impossible to really go deeper. When we think that the Great Sutras and Great Treatises are for talking, not for cultivating, and that we really need to cultivate if we really want to liberate ourselves from birth and death, then in this way, we are disrespectful to the Great Sutras and Great Treatises. But in reality we need to be respectful, so that prevents us from respecting the great scriptures.

Don't just study, but also use it in practice, if you can only engage in research and can't guide the solution of troubles in life, no matter how thorough the research is, it will be useless.

It doesn't have to be non-research. Learn. Do. Be a Buddhist. What is the meaning of a Buddhist scholar?

The purpose of studying Buddhism is to stop suffering and live a happy life. Buddhism is actually a kind of education about the truth of life in the universe and how to live a happy and fulfilling life, telling us a clear way to live life. To truly study Buddhism, one must apply the Buddha's teachings in one's daily life and one's own daily words and deeds.

The most important part of this is the training of one's own mind. We must consciously make our hearts grateful, tolerant, generous, and happy, and let go of thoughts such as greed, selfishness, hurting others, improper relationships between men and women, stealing, and taking advantage of others, and become a happy person. In addition, a person who studies Buddhism honors his parents at home, loves his brothers and sisters, respects his spouse, loves his children, is a good employee in the workplace, diligent, hardworking, helpful, and regardless of gains and losses.

There are many ways to become a Buddha, and in our time, the most suitable for our modern human root is to recite the Dharma. The four characters of "Amitabha" concentrate the wisdom and compassion of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, representing immeasurable joy, immeasurable light, immeasurable warmth, immeasurable happiness, immeasurable compassion, immeasurable wisdom, immeasurable enlightenment, reciting "Amitabha Buddha" exclusively, and vowing to live in the pure land of Amitabha Buddha's Western Elysium, and under the blessing of Amitabha's endless compassion, practice in the Western Elysium to become a Buddha.

Buddhism is not a study, Buddhism is the education of the Buddha, and the key is to practice it on your own. Only by cultivating in person can we gain understanding.

The study of Buddhism is very boring, and I personally think that it is helpful to look at Zen machines more!

GPA is the most intuitive reflection of students' comprehensive performance in the previous education stage, and American colleges and universities regard GPA as the most important indicator to reflect students' learning ability, self-management ability and learning attitude. Think about it, if you can't learn well in your native language, how can the school believe that you can learn a higher level of courses in an all-English environment? Therefore, students who have not yet entered the application season must pay attention to their university studies and strive to maintain a high GPA. >>>More
