In June 1914, the 16th Session of the International Olympic Committee was held in Paris. 23 June, the closing day of the plenary, coincided with the 20th anniversary of the first Olympic Conference convened by Coubertin at the Sorbonne in Paris to propose the revitalization of the ancient Olympic Games. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the birth of the Olympic Movement, the President of the International Olympic Committee, Baron de Coubertin, presented his masterpiece to the members of the meeting, the IOC flag, which consists of a white background and a five-color ring composed of blue, yellow, black, green and red rings.
Coubertin elaborated on the symbolism of the flag: "The blue, yellow, black, green and red rings represent the five continents in which the Olympic spirit is contested. In addition, these 6 colors (including the white undertone) include the colors of national flags of all countries in the world without exception.
Yellow and blue represent Sweden, black, blue and white represent Greece and France, and the three colors of Great Britain, the United States, Germany, Belgium, Italy and Hungary are all among them; Yellow and red represent Spain, Brazil, Australia, Japan, and China are also included. It is clearly an international mark. The plenary meeting was warmly applauded, and the participants were amazed and delighted by the form, color, and meaning of the flag.
Later, the five rings of different colors were explained that the Olympic rings are also known as the Olympic rings, and from left to right, they are sky blue, yellow, black, green, and red. The logo was proposed by Coubertin at the first modern Olympic Games, and was originally conceived as a way to encapsulate the colors of the flags of member states, but later there were other interpretations of the five colors. In 1979, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) published the Olympic Review (Issue 40), which emphasized that the meaning of the five rings was "a symbol of the unity of the five continents, and that athletes from all over the world meet at the Olympic Games in a fair, frank competition and friendly spirit".
