Be sure to soak the tiles in clean water for more than 2 hours, as long as the bricks do not bubble. After the tile fully absorbs the water, it will not absorb the water from the material when paving, so as to avoid the phenomenon of tile falling off and hollowing.

This is called a hollow drum. But the main thing is not the unevenness of the tiles themselves. In fact, each piece of tile is not absolutely flat, and the center has a certain upper arch (otherwise the concave one cannot be flattened at the four corners). The main reasons for hollow drums are:

1. The plastering of the base layer of the wall is not treated as required or the garbage of the base is not cleaned up. Before tile paving, check whether the plastering of the wall base meets the requirements, and the wall base debris, dust and must be cleaned; When paving, the back of the tile is covered with cement mixed mortar or 107 cement slurry and taps the tile with a hammer handle or soft hammer to make the cement grout crowd the back of the tile, and then press hard to make the tile firmly combined with the wall base.

2. Not soaked in water before paving.

Not soaked in water or not soaked enough before paving. Tiles (especially glazed tiles) should be soaked in water for more than 2 hours before paving, so that the tiles can fully absorb water, and then take out the shade to dry or wipe the clear water. If the brick is not saturated with water, it will absorb the water in the mortar prematurely, resulting in the mortar shrinkage and hollowing, and it will also affect the strength of the paste.

3. The mortar is not full when the bricks are paved.

When the tile is paved, the mortar is not full or the tile is not gently knocked and squeezed compact. It's a case of either cutting corners or cutting corners: to save cement mortar, or to save time.

4. There is another situation that mostly occurs when contracting labor and materials, that is, the quality of the tiles is too poor, and I am afraid that the tiles will be broken when tamped.

However, tile paving can not avoid hollowing, as long as it is within a certain range, the error can only be reduced, can not be eliminated.

This is professionally called hollow drum, which proves that there is a problem with the quality of the tile, and it has not reached a certain level in the firing and material selection, and if the ground is laid with this kind of tile, it will be cracked for a long time.

If it doesn't fall or other obviously bad conditions, just wait until later.

For this case, the first thing that needs to be judged is whether the tile is completely loose after the tile is drummed, and whether it is completely loose in two cases, respectively, to make some introductions: 1. The tile is completely loose! In this case, the treatment method is relatively simple, first take out the bulging tile carefully, and then clean up the dust and impurities on the back of the tile and the base part of the ground, and use a special tile adhesive to paste.

Because it is a floor tile, there will be certain requirements for its compressive resistance, and the tile adhesive on the back of the tile can be evenly applied to the back of the tile when pasting, so as to avoid the hollowing of the tile as much as possible. (Of course, the best way to deal with it is to use cement mortar paste.) 2. The tiles are not completely loose!

The difficulty of dealing with this problem lies in the fact that when taking out the tiles, it may cause damage to the tiles, which may involve the replacement of damaged tiles, if you do not keep the spare tiles, then you have to implement whether you can find the same color number (the same model of products, if not the same batch of production, its color may be different) products, and re-fill some tiles of the same color. The tile is smashed open from the middle, use a crowbar, carefully pry the damaged tile from the middle to the periphery, so that the treatment will not cause damage to the surrounding tiles, after the tile is taken out, and then dispose of it in accordance with the method in the first article above. It can also be treated by grouting, that is, the cement mortar mixed with 108 glue penetrates from the gap of the tile to the bottom of the tile.

This treatment method is a palliative but not a cure-all method, can not completely solve the problem of loosening of tiles, may still appear after a long time of loosening problems.
