1) Prepare two printing ribbon boxes, use the darker (new) ribbon to print the formal document, and use the lighter color (used, but the tape base must be intact, otherwise it will damage the needle) ribbon to print the informal document or wax paper.

2) Fix two small pieces of foam with transparent tape at the outlet position of the ribbon in the ribbon box, sandwich the ribbon between the two pieces of foam, and let the foam absorb some better quality printing ink, so as to keep the ribbon moist and prolong the use time of the ribbon.

3) Clamp a section of ribbon exposed at the front end of the ribbon box with two pieces of foam that absorb good quality printing ink, gently rotate the ribbon shaft, add some ink to the ribbon that has been used for a period of time (the base of the ribbon is intact) (the whole ribbon must be added, otherwise the color will be different when printing), and then open the ribbon box to let the ribbon with ink cool and dry (or add a small amount of gasoline to the ink) and then use, first try to type a few pages of informal draft to make the ink evenly distributed. Then print the official version.

4) Develop the habit of adjusting the distance between the print head and the paper according to the thickness of the paper. The principle is that as long as the printing effect meets the requirements, it can be big. For new ribbons, you can also adjust the distance when printing thin paper, because the color is more dense at this time, which ensures the print quality.

5) The ribbon can be removed when printing wax paper. At this time, do not print wax paper directly to prevent the wax from melting and flowing into the pinhole. Most wax paper comes with transparent paper, so you can print it on the wax paper.

6) Sometimes the ribbon reel of the ribbon box is not effective, and the printing needle repeatedly prints a certain part of the ribbon, resulting in a "loophole" in the ribbon, at this time, the ribbon box should be opened first to check whether the gear and metal card appear in series (most of them are caused by the card ribbon is too loose). For the damaged ribbon, the hole can be cut off and then "welded". The "welding" method is simple:

Align the interface and slightly overlap, glue it with transparent tape on the inside (note: on the inside), and if you are afraid of breaking, you can also use a thin wire along the left and right directions at the upper and lower interfaces (generally only use the middle section of the ribbon). According to the quality of the ribbon and the specific situation after printing, I take the above methods, which can usually extend the use time of a ribbon by as much as double, and greatly reduce the consumption of ribbon.

The ribbon is very cheap, you can ask the technician to change the ribbon core.

The printer ribbon can be stored for two years if the package is not opened, and if it is opened, it can theoretically be stored for 1-3 months.

The edge of the ribbon is easy to entangle the ribbon wheel after detachment and fluffing, resulting in the ribbon wheel being stuck, and the ribbon cannot be retracted into the ribbon box normally.

Open the printer cover, open the ribbon arm and the hammer row interlocking handle, gently pull the ribbon back at the tape feeding end of the ribbon box, and then close the ribbon arm and the hammer row interlocking handle, and the ribbon will be installed back after the self-test.

The layers of paper you hit are toned on several layers of paper.

The ribbon will dry if you don't use it for a long time.

Ink is not possible.

Adding ink will break the machine.

Thermal printers don't need ribbons, just special thermal paper.

2. The ribbon is a knitted fabric with ink used by dot matrix printers. Usually when we talk about ribbon, we all refer to the ribbon itself + ribbon box by default.

When installing the new ribbon, pay attention to the gear and the shrapnel in the lower left corner.

5. Wait until the ribbon is filled, then cover the ribbon rack lid, and note that the lid and the rack box have corresponding slot seats. Once the lid is closed, pinch the seat marked on the way with your hand and rotate it counterclockwise for a few weeks to tighten the ribbon!

6. Now put the ribbon holder back into the printer, and also align the card slot seat and the ribbon and print head seat. After putting it back on, turn it on. Then we print a test page, and if we see the printed effect and the new machine is in good condition, the replacement is successful!

A common self-adhesive printer is a barcode printer. The ribbon is installed as follows.

1. Open the top cover of the barcode printer to reveal the label paper roll compartment.

2. Press the latching strips on both sides of the barcode printer to release the printhead module.
