The more you recite the Buddha, the more confused your mind becomes, and the more delusions you have? It is usually common for most people who do not chant Buddha for a long time.
In fact, it's not that the more you think about it, the more chaotic it becomes, but that your "mind" is so scattered, and it's not easy to feel when you don't read the Buddha and don't have your mind.
When reciting the Buddha: Delusions appear and let them go, don't resist them with your heart, the more you resist delusions, that is, you are dealing with delusions with your heart, and you will go with delusions, and if delusions appear, just ignore them, just recite the Buddha with one mind, and your heart will become more and more pure!
-
Then don't go out for a walk yet, I think it might be a better choice to take a break. People sometimes get very upset, no matter what you do, you go out for a walk, don't think about anything, just put yourself into the environment.
-
Since the more you recite the Buddha, the more chaotic it becomes, it means that you have not devoted yourself to the concept of Buddhism, so don't recognize Buddhism, there are many kinds of beliefs, and if you don't like it, don't do it.
-
It should be that you haven't calmed down yet, but the main thing is that if you can calm your mind and do things carefully, you will be able to comprehend the Buddha's Zen. So I think it's better to calm our minds first.
-
It's normal to change gradually, and it can't be very good all at once, but it still takes a lot of effort.

Clean water goes in, dirty water washes out, and then reads.

When you have time, you can recite the sutras before the Buddha, or recite the mantra first and then the Buddha. In life, we should keep the five precepts and ten virtues to regulate the body and mind. There is no Amitabha Buddha in the south!
-
In this case, it means that you have no fate with the Buddha at all, and you should stop reciting it, and it is useless to recite it.

When many people recite the Buddha, they will have a lot of distracting thoughts, and sometimes the more they recite the Buddha, the more distracting thoughts they have. What to do?
Take a look at Venerable Dinghong's teachings:
At the beginning of chanting the Buddha, there must be a lot of distracting thoughts, and if there are no distracting thoughts, then you are a bodhisattva again. If you keep going, you will have fewer and fewer distracting thoughts, and your heart will become purer and purer.
Listen to the scriptures, read the scriptures, and recite the Buddha more. It is best to have a fixed class every day, for example, 3,000 Buddhas a day, a "Sutra of Amitayus", there is a fixed class. As time goes by, your precepts and wisdom will increase.
Friend, how do you feel after reading Venerable Dinghong's teachings?
If you have distracting thoughts when reciting the Buddha, don't pay attention to it. Just honestly recite "Nan Wu Amitabha", after a long time, there will naturally be fewer distracting thoughts, or even no distracting thoughts. Please always recite: Nam no Amitabha.
-
Q: Ask the Master! Originally, the more I recite the Buddha, the more I recite it, the more quiet it becomes, why do I recite the more distracting thoughts become more and more scattered?
Venerable Da'an replied: Distracting thoughts are diseases, and Buddha names are medicines. We have no beginning, we are entangled in countless delusions, and it is impossible for us to extinguish distracting thoughts by reciting the Buddha at the beginning, and we have to go through a process of painstaking cultivation before we can be peaceful.
The so-called without a cold bone, how to get the plum blossom fragrance. Being able to know that your thoughts are flying is an improvement. If you don't recite the Buddha, you won't be aware of the delusions all day long.
It's like sunlight penetrating through a window into a house that we know it's full of dust. At the same time, we must believe that delusion is emptiness, and the merits of the Buddha name are real, as long as we bite a Buddha name when the delusions are flying, like one person and ten thousand enemies, we can hold it, keep it steady, and if we persist, the natural clouds and mist will be light, and the nature will gradually become clearer. You see, we have the seeds of good and the seeds of evil in our hearts.
Sometimes it seems to be okay if you don't recite the Buddha, but when you recite the Buddha, you will force out the seeds of evil. When this happens, don't think it's a regression. We must rely on the Buddha name wholeheartedly, and there will be a leap forward if we break through the past.
There used to be a fellow practitioner who was very diligent in reciting the Buddha, and used to recite 3 to 40,000 Buddha horns every day. Later, he also encountered a lot of evil thoughts tumbling out, and he was so scared that he didn't dare to read them. It's a pity!
This also shows the importance of studying catechesis.

Question: What should I do if I can't concentrate on chanting the Buddha and can't be single-minded?
Venerable Da'an replied: This is a normal situation, it doesn't mean that you can be single-minded as soon as you recite the Buddha, it takes a process.
However, to start by concentrating on reciting the Buddha, if you can't concentrate on it, you have to find some way. First of all, you have to think about why you can't concentrate on chanting the Buddha. What delusions are you fighting? Then, think again, are these things that are in your way important?
When you're ready to recite the Buddha, you have to at least deal with those things basically, don't think about it, and then go back to chanting.
You don't have to worry about it, if you worry too much about that matter, then you can think about it after you have dealt with it, this is the first thing you have to think about.
Second, if you still have delusions when you don't have any concerns, you still can't concentrate, this is an innate delusion. It will be like rushing water, and the Buddha name we recite is like a leaf, always floating.
At this time, you can take the ten recitation notation method of Master Yinguang, recite a sentence of Nan Wu Amitabha Buddha, remember one in your heart, read two sentences and remember two, and remember it again and again, so that the heart does not run, and you take six roots.
If you take all six of them in this sentence, you will be able to concentrate. Don't look with your eyes, don't listen with your ears, and listen to the sound of your own chanting. The root of meaning is to give it a count, send a task to count.
Among the six roots, being able to capture the root of the ear and the root of the mind is equivalent to not taking the other four roots. These six roots of yours are all taken in the Buddha name, and you can recite uninterruptedly, that is, pure thoughts one after another.
Therefore, we must take all the six roots and purify the thoughts one after another as a principle for oneself to concentrate on reciting the Buddha, and we must implement it, and the mind must not be scattered.
Even if you start to scatter, be sure to take it slowly. To the extent that there is no Buddha outside the heart, there is no heart outside the Buddha, the mind does not leave the Buddha, and the Buddha does not centrifuge. In the alayya, the Buddha name is smoked with a new seed, and as if ignorance is smoked, the wisdom of our own nature will slowly be revealed.
Whether you can do it without confusion, you don't care about it first, first concentrate on chanting the Buddha, take all six roots, and start with pure thoughts one after another.
The degree of reciting Buddha kung fu is a matter of course, it is a natural thing of Fa'er, you don't think about it, you can't pursue it, you must pay attention to this.
You just need to recite the Buddha's name clearly, hear it clearly, and count it clearly and concentrate on it, and if you can do these three purities, you will be able to achieve similar concentration.
You have to figure out why he prevents you from reciting the Buddha, find out your own reasons, and get rid of it, which means cultivating yourself, improving and improving yourself, as long as you recite the Buddha stronger than before, and you do benefit, then the so-called road knows the horsepower, and over time sees the hearts of the people, he will realize that his blocking is unwise, and will eventually stop revoking his stubborn and intolerant views, the move.
