Ideology, Morality and the Rule of Law is a MOOC built by Fudan University, a national excellent open course, which was first opened on the Wisdom Tree platform in the spring of 2015, taught by Gao Guoxi, Chen Dawen, Pan Weijie, Chen Guo, etc. According to the Wisdom Tree Network in August 2021, the course has been running for 14 semesters, with a total of 10,000 course candidates, a total of 462 schools, and a total of 10,000 interactions.

In 2016, the General Office of the Ministry of Education issued the Notice on Matters Concerning the Teaching Books for Primary and Secondary Schools in 2016. The "Notice" clarifies that from September 1, 2016, the names of the textbooks "Moral Character and Life" and "Ideological Morality" for the beginning grades of compulsory education primary and junior high schools will be uniformly changed to "Ethics and the Rule of Law".

Ethics and Rule of Law Course Considerations.

The overall goals of the discipline of character are further subdivided into the cognitive, affective, and motor skills domains. In my section, we focus on the analysis of the teaching objectives in the cognitive domain.

The cognitive domain can be divided into six levels: knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation. Knowledge is the memory of previously learned facts, methods, processes, and theories, and is the result of learning at the lowest cognitive level.

Comprehension refers to the ability to grasp the meaning of learning materials with the help of three forms: transformation, explanation, and inference. Application is the application of learned material to new situations to solve problems. Analysis is the decomposition of the whole into its constituent parts and understanding its organizational structure.

Synthesis is the formation of parts into a new whole to produce new patterns and structures. Evaluation refers to making value judgments about learning materials and is the highest level of cognitive learning outcomes.
