The Mahayana Theory of Initiation of Belief, also known as the Theory of Belief, is a volume, made by Ma Ming Bodhisattva in ancient India, and translated by Master Liang Zhendi of the Southern Dynasty.

The Mahayana Theory of Initiation and Belief expounds the purpose of the origin of the Tibetan origin and the practice of bodhisattvas and ordinary people, which summarizes the central idea of Mahayana Buddhism from both theoretical and practical aspects, and is also an important primer for Buddhist thought.

After the publication of the Mahayana Theory of Belief, it was valued by various sects, and the main sects of Chinese Mahayana Buddhism, such as Huayan, Tiantai, Zen, Pure Land, and Tantra, were deeply influenced: Tan Yan and Huiyuan of the Sui Dynasty wrote books to expound the purpose of this treatise, and Dao Sui repeatedly quoted this treatise in his "An Le Jiji", and the Jizang master of the Three Treatises and the wise master of the Tiantai sect also highly respected this theory. In the Tang Dynasty, Yuan Xiao, Fazang, Chengguan, Zongmi and other senior monks of the Huayan Sect vied to make annotations for this treatise, and Zhan Ran wrote the "Treatise on the Golden Pound", which gradually became the scripture that the Tiantai family must rely on when making chapters; In addition, Yongming's "Zongjinglu" and Si Mingzhili's "Ten Non-Two Men Refer to the Banknote" also often follow the will of the quasi-ontology; The important treatise of Tantra, the Commentary on the Interpretation of the Mahayana, is said to have been written by Nagarjuna to explain the ontology.

According to the scriptures, on September 10 of the second year of Emperor Yuan's succession, Master Zhendi translated this treatise in Jianxing Temple in Hengzhou. There are two volumes of the different translations of "The Theory of Belief in the Mahayana", translated by Tang Shicha Nantuo.

True Meaning (499 569), a native of the Western Tianzhu Youchani country, a Brahmin species, formerly known as Kannarata. Emperor Wu of Liang came to China for 12 years, and due to the turbulent situation, Master Zhendi had been in China for more than 20 years, but he translated many classic volumes with him, which was still beyond the reach of other translators at the same time. In the history of Chinese Buddhism, there have been many famous translators of scriptures, and among them, the four monks who translated the scriptures the most and had the greatest influence were respected by the world as the four great translators, and there are two sayings:

One is Kumarosh, True Meaning, Xuanzang, and Non-emptiness, and the other is Kumarosh, True Meaning, Xuanzang, and Righteousness. Either way, the truth is one of them. According to the "Continuation of the Biography of the High Monks", Venerable Zhendi translated 64 sutras and 278 volumes, the "Three Treasures of the Past Dynasties" contained 48 books and 232 volumes, and the "Kaiyuan Commentary" was published as 38 books and 118 volumes.

In addition to the Sutras of Enlightenment and Mahayana Enlightenment, there are also Sutras of the Golden Light, Maitreya Sutra, Nioh Prajna Sutra, Mahayana Commentary, Commentary on the Twenty-two Clarifications of the Law, Treatise on the Distinction between the Middle Sides, Treatise on the Seventeen Lands, Commentary on Kusha, Treatise on the Initiation of Belief in Mahayana, etc., among which the Treatise on the Mahayana and the Commentary on the Mahayana have the greatest influence, which is the main theoretical basis of the Southern Dynasty School of Regency, and the True Meaning is also revered as the first ancestor of the Regency Commentary.

Eating a vegetarian diet for one day is equivalent to the merit of being a vegetarian for one year; One dollar for releasing a life or doing a good deed is equal to one thousand dollars; If you say a good word, you are equal to saying a thousand good words. In the same way, one sentence of scolding is equal to a thousand.
