When color printing, the tension of each color plate of the screen printing plate must be basically the same, so as to ensure the accuracy of the overprint. Only by stretching the net can we ensure the quality of plate making and printing.
There are two main methods of stretching netting: manual stretching and mechanical stretching.
Hand-stretching is a simple traditional method. It is usually suitable for wooden mesh frames. This method is to manually fix the wire mesh to the wooden frame with nails, wooden strips, adhesives and other materials.
The tension of the manual stretching net can generally meet the requirements, but the tension is uneven, the operation is more troublesome and time-consuming, and the quality of the stretching net is not easy to guarantee. This method is mostly used for small quantities of printing and occasions where printing accuracy is not high.
Mechanical mesh stretching is the use of mechanical force to make the screen tight, and use adhesive to firmly bond it with the screen frame. After the adhesive is dry, remove the screen frame and seal the edges with polyester film single-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape. to prevent the adhesive from dissolving and to give the screen plate a neat appearance.
Mesh frames of various materials can be mechanically stretched. Mechanical stretching has the characteristics of uniform tension and short stretching time. It is easy to grasp the required tension.

The indirect net stretching method is that when the mesh is stretched, the wire mesh is not in contact with the screen frame, and the screen frame is held up with a platform after the wire mesh is tightened, so that the wire mesh and the screen frame are in contact with each other, and then glued together.
The indirect net stretching method is suitable for stretching multiple screen frames at the same time, but the tension weakening degree and speed of indirect stretching are greater than that of the direct stretching method.
