Representation is a form (such as offering incense, flowers, lamps, etc.) to help us increase our inner faith, compassion, and so on, which can help us raise funds to clear our obstacles.
The true meaning of practice is to cultivate the mind, and the external form cannot be said to be directly related to practice, but it can be used as an indirect convenience.

All appearances are vain, and what is good for vain things? Only the true and perfect virtues of the Buddha are worthy of expression, and there are Buddhas who have come out with a wide tongue to praise us and hear the letter without the name of Amitabha Buddha in the south, so that all sentient beings in the ten directions can benefit.

The law of enduring hardships and serving the public.
-
We ordinary people should cultivate ourselves well in order to seek liberation, and the great masters of the patriarch looked at the opportunities of each person to express the Dharma to liberate sentient beings.
-
Nowadays, in life, people's life pressure, survival pressure, and work pressure are very high, and everyone is seeking the way to liberation, and practice is the best way to liberation, so how to practice? Listen to the breakdown.

Cultivation is to follow the Buddha's thoughts in daily life to give, keep vows, endure humiliation, be diligent, meditate, and be wise.
-
Cultivation is the process of changing your personality, it is the process of changing your faults.
The specific content of the practice is the bodhisattva's six ten thousand actions.
The purpose of practicing Buddhism is to liberate oneself from the cycle of birth and death.

The process of cultivating enlightenment is like driving to your destination. You first have to make sure that the car has enough fuel (that is, to do good deeds and accumulate merit). And then you have to make sure that your tank doesn't leak (that is, keep the vows and don't do bad things, otherwise no matter how much merit you do, you will miss out.) And you have to keep that direction right (i.e., cognitive adjustment, to keep the right view). You'll also have to keep an eye on the road and navigation, and stay on high alert. Don't be mesmerized by the scenery along the way, stop or change directions.
It's being aware). Then you have to cross key slopes with enough horsepower to go uphill. (This is the ability to enter the meditation).
Five points are available, and two more will be added. One is confidence, and the other is hard work. Otherwise, you might give up halfway through.
In terms of order, it is to believe first. If you don't believe it, then it's impossible to practice. The second is to have a correct understanding of the world and the self.
Otherwise, it's all in the wrong direction. The third is to accumulate merit resources, otherwise there will be no ability to sustain the practice. Fourth, we must keep the precepts and refrain from doing bad things, otherwise the body will be too heavy and the mind will be too chaotic, and we will not be able to bring it up if we want to enter meditation, and we will not be able to bring up our strength.
The fifth is to be aware. You know you're breathing when you breathe, you know you're angry when you're angry, and you can be aware of every thought that arises when it arises. Do not welcome, reject, judge, or follow these feelings and thoughts.
Don't cling to one phase, don't stop one thought. The sixth is to settle down. By the Dingsheng Wisdom.
The seventh is hard work. That is, you have to be able to constantly overcome inertia, overcome difficulties, and keep working hard throughout the long process of practice.
Therefore, it is extremely difficult to practice, and the people of Shanggen may have an epiphany in one word, but for most people, it is better to be a good person first, and then to be an attained person, and then it is possible to become an enlightened person.

To practice is to correct one's behavior in accordance with the Dharma.
It is the act of correcting one's "heart", that is, the value concept, the way of thinking, the state of mind, etc., so that it can settle down in the good dharma, respond correctly to people and things, and have compassion and wisdom.
The patriarch said, "Carrying firewood and carrying water is not the way", which means that there is no absolute external pattern of behavior in practice. There is a Buddha in my heart, and everything I see is a Buddha!

What is Practice?
Meditation is the correction of one's own behavior.
Cultivation is the cultivation of the mind.
The Bodhisattva has six degrees of ten thousand actions. Every bit of it is a practice.
Giving vows is a practice. Doing good deeds and releasing life is a spiritual practice.
Forbearance and perseverance are spiritual practices. Reciting the Buddha and chanting sutras is a practice.
Meditation is practice. Striving to comprehend the wisdom of the Dharma is also a practice.
True practice is to change one's mind, words, and actions that do not conform to the nature of the universe, and to gradually bring one's thoughts, words, and deeds closer to the Tao.
The knowledge of Buddha and goodness is very clear, and practice is to cultivate a clear mind, break off the separation of minds, and establish an equanimity mind.
