    2. Find the Adobe Photoshop CS5 folder under the installation path and open it.

    3. After opening, we need to know that the PS filter folder is a plugin, so if you need to operate the PS filter, you have to do it in the plugin.

    Meet Smart Filters.

Smart Filter is a non-destructive filter that combines both smart object and filter functions, and can adjust and undo the filter effect at any time.

When you add a Smart Filter, a ** flag appears to the right of the layer. The Smart Filter (mask) appears below the layer thumbnail, and you can restore the original image by disabling or deleting the Smart Filter.

In Photoshop, any filter other than Extraction, Liquify, Pattern Generator, and Vanishing Point, including third-party filters that support Smart Filters, can be used as a Smart Filter.

Any filter applied to a Smart Object is a Smart Dry Energy Filter. If a warning icon appears on the thumbnail when you apply a filter to a Smart Object, the Smart Filter doesn't support this style effect.

For normal layers, you can add a Smart Filter to it by executing the Filter to Smart Filter command, and then add the Smart Filter.

How do I add a filter?

    Select a filter from the Filters menu;

Execute the Image Adjust Shadow Highlight command to add a filter.

Fix the sock and change the filter parameters.

Double-click the filter name below the thumbnail or right-click the row and select Smart Filters to modify the filter's parameters.

    Modify the blending options.

    Disable or delete the filter.

Right-click the row of the filter name and select Disable Delete Smart Filter to disable or delete the Smart Filter.

Right-click the icon to the right of a layer and select Disable Clear Smart Filters to disable or clear all Smart Filters for that layer.

Dragging the line with the filter name to the filter can also delete the Smart Filter, and dragging the icon to the top can also clear all the Smart Filters on the layer.

    Use a filter mask.

    Before the layer mask.

The use of filter masks has been introduced in this article, which can selectively mask (or clear) a portion of the Smart Filter effect.

Right-click on the mask thumbnail to select deactivate or delete the mask, and set the mask options (opacity).

    Move and copy Smart Filters.

Hold down the [Alt] key while using the left mouse button to drag the ** icon or the word "Smart Filter" to move all the Smart Filters (duplicate) of the layer to another layer; Drag the line with the filter name to move the filter (duplicate) to another layer.

Adjust the order of the filters.

When a Smart Object has multiple Smart Filters added to it, drag the filter name row below the thumbnail to adjust the order in which the filter effects are applied and change the display effect.
