So how do we learn a skill quickly? I've summarized the following five steps:
Ask a question, obtain, organize, share, use.
Step 1: Ask questions.
Don't study blindly, clarify your goals before studying, and ask yourself, "What is the most important skill I need to learn?" ”
You can make a list of all the skills you want to learn, and then analyze which one is the one you most eager to learn at this stage, and choose it.
In the next 1-3 months, we will mainly learn this one skill.
Step 2: Acquisition.
The next step is to acquire knowledge, and there are many ways to obtain knowledge, such as the Internet, micro-courses, training, books, articles, and so on.
The training is more systematic, and there are teachers to teach by hand, which helps us to learn efficiently, but the cost is usually higher.
Thematic reading requires you to read 5-10 books in this field intensively over a period of time, build a framework on your own, and gain an in-depth understanding of the field through the framework questions.
Step 3: Tidy up.
It is possible that we have learned this skill in many ways, but at this time, the content you get through reading and listening to lectures is just information, like a pile of scattered bricks, and we can only build a house and form knowledge by building these scattered bricks on the foundation that has been done before.
In other words, we need to organize the fragments of newly learned knowledge and combine them with our previous knowledge to truly learn these knowledge.
Step 4: Share.
Any learning is a process from input to output, and sharing can absorb knowledge, so the first thing we do after learning is to share.
You may say, I'm not a great god, who will listen to what I share? In fact, there are many forms of sharing.
For example, writing, there are now many new ** platforms for you to write, and there will be many people who interact with you when you write, and maybe you can also build your own personal brand because of this.
In addition to writing, we can also talk to others or share online and offline.
Teaching for learning is the best way to learn, and you will find that once you are able to teach others, your own knowledge is quite solid. Remember: you don't need to be great to start, but you need to start to be great.
Step 5: Utilization.
Learning any skill is for our own benefit, so we need to use it as we learn.
Try to put this skill to work in a job that would bring you extra income.
You can constantly reflect on your skills in the process of using them, and optimize and innovate your skills, and slowly this new skill will merge with you and become a part of your body.
Once a new skill is consolidated, we can move on to the next skill and do it again in the same order to forge our own path to growth.
