Mr. Kotzley was born in Germany in 1946. He graduated from Einhorn University of Technology with a degree in Electronic Engineering. He joined Philips Medical Systems in 1974 and held several manufacturing management positions.
In 1981, Mr. Kotzley became General Manager of the Professional Audio Systems business unit, now part of Consumer Electronics. In 1986, he joined Philips Components, then became General Manager of the Philips Display Components business unit in Europe, and in 1994 he was appointed Executive Director of the global Philips Display Components business unit. In 1996, Mr. Cretch became President of Philips Taiwan and Regional Manager of Philips Components Asia Pacific.
