Pokémon Platinum is a Nintendo DS role-playing game developed by Game Freak and released by Nintendo. It is part of the fourth generation of the Pokémon series and the expansion pack for Pokémon Diamond Pearl, released on September 13, 2008.

In the game, players will take on a journey as a young Pokémon trainer with the Grass Turtle, the Flame Monkey, or Bogaman given to them by Dr. Yamanashi. The cover of the game is the Pokémon of Giratina, a key character in the plot.
