The poet Zhu Ziqing pointed out in "Poetry and Speech" that "Poetry and Romance have always been standing, and although the new tradition of 'poetry and love' is also developing, it is always hidden in the shadow of the old tradition and cannot look up" "It is not until this era (Yuan Mei era) that it can be regarded as really raising its head".
The two factions have their own opinions and compete with each other to play.
Actually, there is no contradiction between the two theories. "Words" and "Fate" have different footholds. "Words and aspirations" are based on the content of the poem, and "fate" is said on why the poem is self-established. "Words and aspirations", the stereotype of poetry; "Affection", the beginning of the poem.
The poet's "love" is moved and becomes a poem, and the words are called "poetic words". What is the "fate"? Because also, because of love and poetry also. Who is the "speaker"? Chen said also, Chen said his ambition also.
The opposition between "fate" and "words and aspirations" is not Lu Ji's responsibility. Mao's poem "words and aspirations", but also said that "emotions are in the middle and form is in words". "Poetry" is rooted in "love". "In the heart is the will, the speech is the poem".
"Ambition" and "affection" are the same thing, and there is no essential difference between "speech" and "affection". This was already seen by Kong Yingda in the Tang Dynasty. The sense of things gives birth to feelings, the poems are written by feelings, the poems become the words and aspirations, and the feelings are carried out with feelings.

From the evolution of poetry to poetry, we can see that most of the early poems were documentary poems, and individuals could only give poems and aspirations, and the aspirations here were mainly related to politics and religion, and later with the development of literature, the content of poems changed. With the emergence of individual poets, the traditional concept of describing poetry without writing has been broken, and stylistic poetry has also begun to appear, and the content of the chronicles has also begun to change, and romance has gradually begun.

Since then, "speech" and "fate" have become the two indispensable pillars of Chinese poetic theory, and have had a profound impact on the creation of poetry and the development of poetry theory in later generations.
