"Childhood" — reading notes.
Today I read a book called "Childhood", and its author is the famous writer Gorky. The book was written about Gorky's childhood.
Our childhood was beautiful and happy, and we would have what we wanted, but Gorky's childhood was not so happy, but tragic and miserable. In this book, the father of the protagonist Alyosha (Gorky's nickname) dies in his childhood, and he dies a tragic death, which causes a lot of damage to Alyosha's young mind. Lost the breadwinner of the family, he only depended on his mother and grandmother, and later followed his grandmother to his grandfather's house.
But Alyosha did not live a good life here, and here he saw many ugly things, where his uncles turned against each other for property, fooled the weak, beat children, and ....... But he was sympathetic to his grandmother, who often told Alyosha many good stories, and Alyosha was nurtured by the stories told by her grandmother and grew up healthy, unlike his uncles.
Alyosha has loved reading since he was a child, and his desire to read and his spirit of studying hard are touching, but he also suffered a lot for this, and often cried for the humiliation and bullying he received. But he never gave up and still insisted on studying. He came into contact with the poor working people, went deep into society, and eagerly absorbed knowledge from books, so that he really grew up and eventually became a master of literature.
How beautiful our life is now, it is very different from Gorky, so we should cherish the good life we have now. I think we have a happier childhood than Gorky, and we will definitely have a better future than Gorky, let's study hard together!

Walden — Thoreau.
More than 160 years ago, an American named David Thoreau lived on the shores of Walden Lake for three years, built a hut alone, and fished, hunted, cultivated, meditated, and wrote, and finally gave birth to a great collection of essays "Walden", "Walden" deeply influenced a generation, and many great people also read this book, and the book still shines with dazzling brilliance and far-reaching influence today. The book was also selected by the Library of Congress as one of the "25 Books to Shape Readers".
This book was written in the middle of the 19th century, at a time of rapid development of capitalism, and the courage and courage with which the author was able to brave the world's condemnation and embark on such an extraordinary journey with a simple and innocent heart is immensely admirable.
Harding once said that Walden is rich in content and profound in meaning, an authoritative guide to simple life, a true description of nature, a crusade against the money society, a literary masterpiece that has been handed down for a long time, and a holy book.
The words are filled with Thoreau's love for Walden, for the cottage, for the mountains and forests, for the small animals in the forest, for the love of all things in nature, what kind of sentiment is this! When reading this book, I often try to put myself in Thoreau's position, and I feel that it was only then that I lived sincerely, without pretentiousness and artificiality, and everything in the book was so natural, and the so-called spiritual purification refers to this! What's even more convincing is that every time you read it, you will have a new feeling, and the plain sentences contain the deepest philosophical thoughts, and many places must be read repeatedly to appreciate the richness of their feelings!
I am proud of one visitor who used yellow walnut leaves as a calling card, and wrote a few poems by Spencer on it, which I took as my Burrow's inscription: 'People come here to fill the hut and need no extra hospitality; Rest is a feast, everything goes naturally, and the noblest soul can be the most comfortable. ’”
I hope that our farmers can feel the same awe that our farmers felt when they cut down a forest, just as the ancient Romans felt when they thinned the trees in a sacred forest to let it shine, because they felt that the forest belonged to some gods. ”
There are a thousand men cutting down the branches of sin, but only one is cutting down the roots of sin. ”
Although we can't experience the lonely mountain life like Thoreau, although Walden Lake has disappeared forever, these can't prevent us from having a clear Walden Lake in our hearts, so that our hearts can be cleansed at all times, according to Thoreau, go to your inner adventure.
