For the same workgroup, the network printer is not available

The IPX protocol is installed on both machines before the shared printer can be implemented.

You can find your computer from Settings - Printers - Add Printers - Network Printers - Browse Printers.

It is important that your printer must share the driver and that the driver must be installed.

Then check the network connection, and generally do the above to solve the problem.

What you need to do now is to see if several machines can access each other, step by step.

The reason is that the connection between the computer and the printer is not very stable.

Solution: 1. Press the computer win key + R key to pop up the running window.

2. In the input box, enter: Click OK.

3. In the pop-up network connection window, you can see an icon to connect to the shared printer, and below the icon is the IP of the shared printer.

4. Double-click the IP icon of the shared printer, and the shared printer has been reconnected at this time.

Note: Try not to change the password or set the policy frequently, and check whether the printer is paused or offline if there is a problem.

Shared printer not found in LAN workaround:

1. First of all, make sure whether you are on the same LAN and open the command line:.

2. After entering cmd, enter ipconfig.

First of all, check whether the IP address of the shared printer and the computer you want to install are in the same network segment. You only need to look at the top three IPs, for example, the IP range in this example only needs to be in this IP range, and the computers are all in the same LAN.

3. Set up a shared printer computer and open the computer control panel - Network and Sharing Center.

4. Then select "Change Advanced Sharing Settings" on the right column.

5. Check "Enable Network Discovery" and "Enable File and Printer Sharing". This allows other computers on the LAN to access and install the shared printer.

6. The last critical step is to turn off "Turn off password protection sharing". If you do not turn this option off, other computers will be prompted to enter a username and password when printing with the printer installed.

Cause: The computer and printer are not in the same network field.

1. Use the ping command to check whether the computer and the printer are in the same network segment.

Open a guest account in the print server;

On the premise of confirming that the name of the LAN working group is the same, enter the "Local Connection" attribute window, click the "Install" button to add the "NWLINK IPX SPX NetBios Compatible Transport Protocol" association;

The computer can't find the shared printer and the solution:

1.First of all, you need to "share" the network printer, when you can't search for the shared printer in the LAN, you need to make sure that the network printer has been successfully set to "shared": enter the "Control Panel" - "Devices and Printers" interface, right-click the printer you want to share, and select the "Printer Properties" item.

2.In the Printer Properties window that opens, switch to the Share tab, select Share this printer, and set a memorable share name.

3.Next, you need to turn on the "File and Print Sharing" service, enter the "Control Panel" - "Network and Sharing Center" - "Advanced Sharing Settings" interface, check the "Enable File and Printer Sharing" item, and click the "OK" button.

4.To allow "File and Print Services" to communicate through the firewall, go to "Control Panel" - "Windows Firewall", in the "Allow programs or functions to communicate through Windows Firewall" window, check the "File and Printer Sharing" item, and click the "OK" button.
