How about the book Psychology and Life

The authors are Richard Grieg and Philip Zimbardo. The English version has reached the 18th edition, and the Chinese translation version is the 16th edition. The content is pretty much the same.

I bought two copies of the 16th edition, and many years ago, the first one was borrowed by a classmate after reading it in a hurry, and then I couldn't find it.

This book is a should read for beginners and psychology enthusiasts. Psychology and Life is a classic textbook of general psychology in many universities in the United States. It is also the main reference book recommended by ETS in the United States as the GRE psychology test.

Many teachers in the field of psychology in China have been using the English version of this book as the first reference book for teaching for many years. Unfortunately, due to copyright issues and the heavy translation volume of more than one million words, there has not been a single Chinese translation of this book. With a sense of mission for the basic education and popularization of psychology in China, 18 professors from the Department of Psychology of Peking University worked together to select a part of each according to their own research expertise and interests, and carefully translated.

The essence of it? In general, the knowledge in this book is basic and comprehensive. According to the book, Mr. Merton argues that "opponents can refute Le Pen's statement, but they cannot turn a blind eye to it, at least, if they do not want to give up their interest in social psychology, because those are fundamental issues." This is where Sun Chen's main merit of Le Pen's book lies: it shows a sensitivity to important issues almost from beginning to end.

This low-threshold but relatively professional "Book of Psychology" is worth reading!
