1. Spring flowers.

The petals open due to the different growth rates of the cells on both sides, such as tulips, calendula, colchicum and dandelions. But some flowers open and close due to the movement of the veins rather than the petals, such as morning glory, and the difference in the enlargement of the cells on both sides produces the movement of the veins. The opening and closing of some flowers may be related to the reversible expansion and contraction of cells.

As in gentian, the epidermal cells on the inner side of the petals expand during the day and shrink at night, the osmotic pressure of the upper epidermis is twice that of the day than at night, while the outer epidermis does not show a change in length, so the petal movement of this type of flower is due to the change in the turgorical pressure of the cells.

Hops bloom around 3 a.m., morning glories bloom at about 4 a.m., wild roses bloom around 5 a.m., sunflower blooms around 6 a.m., dandelions bloom at around 7 a.m., and sunflowers bloom at 12 noon. It turns out that the flowering time of plants is closely related to temperature, humidity, and light.
