In the southeast direction of the Qianling Tomb of Tang Gaozong Li Zhi and Empress Wu Zetian, there are 17 tombs, all of which are the burial tombs of the Qianling Tomb. They are arranged from north to south according to their status during their lifetime, scattered in the fields, and are about 4,500 meters long from east to west and about 2,800 meters long from north to south.

At present, only the tomb of Prince Yide, the tomb of Princess Yongtai, the tomb of Prince Zhang Huai, the tomb of Li Jinxing, the tomb of Xue Yuanchao, and the tomb of Liu Renliang have clarified the identity of the tomb owner, and the identity of the tomb owner of the other eleven accompanying tombs is still unknown. Therefore, the cultural relics department numbered them in a counterclockwise direction, respectively: No. 1-11 burial tombs.

Today, only the tomb of Prince Yide, the tomb of Princess Yongtai and the tomb of Prince Zhang Huai have been built into museums and are open to the public. Other funerary tombs, scattered in the fields, are rarely visited. At noon on March 4, 2020, my father and I set off from the tomb of Prince Zhang Huai and walked to the No. 7-10 burial tomb

    Funnery Tomb No. 10

    Futurary Tomb No. 8

    Funerary Tomb No. 7

    Funnery Tomb No. 9

The distribution of No. 7-10 burial tombs in Qianling is relatively concentrated, located in the field of about 3,500 meters southeast of the main peak of Qianling, near Zhangbapo Village and Sanhe Village, and there are small roads leading to the side of the tomb. In recent years, in order to protect these burial tombs, cultural relics protection boundary posts have been erected at the four corners of the tombs 50 meters away. At the same time, in front of each burial tomb, simple houses were built for the preservation of cultural relics

    Funerary Tomb No. 10

Standing in front of the tomb of Prince Zhang Huai, looking in the southeast direction, there is a tomb on the opposite side of the ditch, which is the No. 10 burial tomb of Qianling. It is located in the field about 100 meters north of Zhangbapo Village, along the path in front of the tomb of Prince Zhang Huai, go east around the ditch, walk 500 meters, you can reach. The mound is conical in shape, with a height of about 10 meters and a diameter of about 20 meters at the bottom.

    Northwest of the burial mound

The south side of the burial mound

    Funnery Tomb No. 8

In front of the No. 10 burial tomb of Qianling, looking towards the southeast, there is a larger tomb, which is the No. 8 burial tomb of Qianling. Walk into Zhangbapo Village, walk southeast about 500 meters along the road in the village, and you will reach the foot of this burial tomb. The mound is in the shape of a steamed bun, with a height of about 10 meters and a diameter of about 40 meters at the bottom, which may be of a relatively high level.

    Southwest of the burial mound

    Southeast of the burial mound

    Futerary Tomb No. 7

About 180 meters southwest of the No. 8 burial tomb of Qianling, there is the No. 7 burial tomb, and the distance between the two is very close. Perhaps, Burial Tomb No. 7 is an additional burial tomb of Companion Tomb No. 8? The appearance of the burial mound in Tomb No. 7 is in the shape of a steamed bun, with a diameter of about 22 meters at the bottom and a height of about 8 meters.

A flag flutters on the top of the tomb, but there is no small house below for conservators.

    Northeast of the burial mound

    Southwest of the burial mound

    Futerary Tomb No. 9

After leaving the No. 7 and No. 8 burial tombs, return to the road of Zhangbapo Village and continue to walk 260 meters east to the south side of Sanhe Village. Next to the cliff on the side of the road, there is a small tomb, which is the No. 9 burial tomb of Qianling. The burial mound is conical in shape, with a height of about 5 meters and a diameter of about 20 meters at the bottom, which is relatively small in scale and is located at the easternmost end of this burial area.

The south side of the burial mound

    Underneath the burial mound

Later Tang Mingzong - Li Siyuan.

Five generations later, there is 1 tomb of the Tang Emperor, that is, the Hui Tomb of Mingzong. The period from 907 to 960 AD was the period of the Five Dynasties, in which the Later Liang, Later Tang and Later Jin were all built in Luoyang.

There is a bucket-shaped mound in the southwest of Huzhuang Village of Huiling Township of Tang Mingzong Huiling Township in Mengjin County, the place is consistent with the literature records, and the bucket-type sealing soil is the shape usually adopted by the emperor's mausoleum since the Tang Dynasty, and it can be determined that this is the Huiling Tomb of Mingzong of the Later Tang Dynasty.
