Reading "The Seventh Hound".
Today, I read Shen Shixi's **"The Seventh Hound", although this is a short story**, but the feelings of animals and people moved me.
Zhaopanba was an old hunter who had six hounds, but all of them were sold, abducted, or died. Three years ago, he received a puppy born to a military dog as a gift for his 60th birthday, and named it Akari, which means the legendary flying knife. Akari was tamed into an excellent hunting dog, and the day before Songkran, he summoned Panba and Akari to go hunting, and met a large wild boar.
Just as Zhao Panba picked up his shotgun and fired, he accidentally stepped on several snake eggs, and when a cobra pounced on him, Chiri rushed up and bit the snake's head. But Zhao Panba didn't know that he didn't shoot the pig's vital point, and the pig was enraged and pounced. Zhao Panpa shouted for Chili, but he was fighting with the snake!
Of course, Zhaopanba didn't know that in the end, if the pig hadn't got stuck in the branch, he would have been bitten to death. That's when Chiri rushed up and bit the wild boar. But Zhao Panpa didn't know what had just happened, so he dragged it back.
The next day, just as he was about to kill it, the granddaughter of Zhaopanba let the dog go.
The story ends with this: Chiri became the leader of a group of jackals, and just as his "people" were about to harm Zhaopanba and his oxen, he killed all the jackals and seriously wounded himself, and soon died ......
This is the relationship between animals and people! For the safety of its owner, it desperately fought to the death with the snake that the dog never messed with, and was misunderstood by the owner and almost killed. For the safety of its master, it does not remember the revenge that its master wanted to kill it back then, but is loyal to its master, and fights with its "people" - the ferocious jackal.
What kind of emotion is that! What a deep affection for humans and animals! Animals are also living beings, they are just a kind of "people" who are not very different from people.
They have human emotions in them that cannot be described by anything!
