During the Taiyuan period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, there was a Wuling man who made a living by fishing. He was rowing along the creek and forgot how far he had come. Suddenly, I came across a peach blossom forest, sandwiched between the banks of the stream, hundreds of paces long, and there were no other trees in between.

On the ground) the grass is bright and beautiful, and the flowers are falling one after another. The fisherman was amazed. Go further and want to go to the end of this forest.

The peach forest is gone where the stream originates, and there is a mountain with a small hole in it, and there seems to be light in it. So he got out of the boat and went in through the hole. When you first enter, the entrance to the cave is so narrow that only one person can pass through.

After walking a few dozen steps, it suddenly became open and bright. The land is flat and open, the houses are neatly organized, there are fertile fields, beautiful ponds, mulberry trees and bamboo, and so on. The field roads are intertwined, and the sound of chickens and dogs can be heard (between the villages).

People come and go to plow the fields and work, and the clothes of men and women are exactly like the people of the world outside the Peach Blossom Garden. The elderly and children alike were filled with joy and contentment.

(They) asked what dynasty it was, and they didn't even know about the Han Dynasty, let alone the Wei Dynasty and the Jin Dynasty. The fisherman told them everything he knew, and they all sighed and regretted.

Taishou immediately sent someone to follow him, looking for the mark he had made earlier, but eventually he lost his way and could no longer find the way (to Taoyuan).

Translation: Many of the world's rumors about the Peach Blossom Paradise are exaggerated. Examining what Tao Yuanming recorded, it is only said that the ancestors escaped the war of the Qin Dynasty and came here, so what the fishermen saw were the descendants of the people who avoided the chaos, not their people, so it is not that the Qin Dynasty people are immortal.

In the past, it was said that there was chrysanthemum water in Nanyang, the water quality was fragrant and sweet, and more than 30 families lived there, and the water there lived a long life, and some lived a hundred twenty or thirty years old.

There is an old man's village in Qingcheng Mountain, Sichuan, where it is said that the five generations are in the same house. The road is extremely dangerous and remote, and when you are alive you don't know salt and vinegar (xi, vinegar), and there are many goji berries in the stream, and its roots are crooked like dragons and snakes, and if you drink the water there, you will live a long life.

In recent years, the road has been slightly smoother, and I have gradually been able to come into contact with daily condiments, so my lifespan has been shortened, so this is almost the same as the lifespan of people outside.

When Wuling Taishou learned that he was there, it had already become a place for many people to fight. Generally speaking, places like this in the world are very simple, not just peach blossom springs.
