How the SSD computer is not showing up

When we use the computer, we may feel that the storage space of the computer is not enough, so we will install additional SSDs.

However, after we install the SSD, it is possible that the hard disk will not be displayed.

Check whether the installation is successful.

1.The first thing we need to make sure is that our hard disk has been connected to the computer, check whether the data cable of the hard disk has been plugged in, if we make sure that it is plugged in, we are on the desktop of the computer.

Find this computer icon, right-click on it, and select the Properties option at the bottom of the pop-up window.

2.Then we will open the system window and in the menu to the left of the window that opens, we find the Device Manager.

3.Once we are in the Device Manager window, below we find the disk drive.

Click on the triangle symbol on the left to see if the disk drive is displayed.

4.If our newly installed drive hard disk disk display is not displayed, we can right-click on the disk display, and select the scan detection hardware change option in the pop-up window, if it is still not displayed after scanning, we need to check again whether the data cable of the hard disk is connected.

Partition. 1.We find the start icon in the lower left corner of the computer desktop, click to open the start menu, and then in the search bar of the start menu, enter the partition, and then click to search, find Create and format the hard disk partition.

Options. 2.Click to open Disk Management.

window, and then in the window we find the newly added disk, right-click the mouse, and select the Initialize Disk option in the pop-up menu.

3.Then the window of initializing the disk will pop up, in the window we check the disk, and then we need to check the disk partition.

Then we will enter the New Simple Volume Wizard window, set it according to the following figure in the window, check the format of this volume according to the following settings, and modify the volume label to a new volume.

4.Wait for the initialization to complete, after which we find the newly added disk again, right-click the mouse, and then select the new volume option in the pop-up window.

5.After the new creation is completed, we find this computer icon on the desktop of the computer, double-click to open it, and we can find our new volume in the device and drive interface.

Our newly installed SSD doesn't show up, mainly because we didn't initialize and partition it.

There is no driver, whether you are win7 or win10, you need to play the driver, you can go to disk management to see if there is your new hard disk logo.

Disk 0, disk 1

This is because the hard disk is not initialized and partitioned, so it cannot be displayed

1. First of all, check whether the SSD is installed successfully. Right-click on "My Computer" and click on the "Properties" option.

2. After opening "Properties", find the "Device Manager" option in the upper left corner.

3. After opening the Device Manager, find the "Disk Drives" option on the left side, and click the left mouse button to see if there are any additional disk drives.

4. If not, right-click on "Disk Drive" to scan for hardware changes. If you don't add it, it may be that the line is not plugged in properly.

<>6. Right-click "Disk 1" on the left (i.e., the newly installed SSD) and select "Initialize Disk".

7.Then you can choose the partition format and file system. The difference between different partition formats and file systems is: If you don't want to know, just follow my method to choose the GPT partition format and NTFS file system.

8. After completing the above process, right-click on the initialization partition and select "New Simple Volume".

9. After setting the size, you can see the newly installed SSD in "My Computer".

SSDs have two partition formats, MBR and GPT, and you should be able to see it if you convert the format with partition software under PE.
