SNCM439 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum tempered alloy structural steel. It has high strength, hardness, wear resistance and good toughness, its hardenability is slightly higher than 40cr, the critical quenching diameter in oil can reach 18 33mm, after normalizing, it has good machinability, cold drawing, rolling, tapping, forging and heat treatment. At high temperatures, the tendency to decarburize and quench deformation is small, but the tempering performance is not as good as that of 40cr steel.
SNCM439 steel rods are generally used in tempered condition and can be used in a temperature range of -20 425.
