Due to the different degree structures and curriculum systems between countries, schools in the United States have their own policies, and there is no unified standard. The number of credits that can be transferred needs to be converted according to the requirements of the school. There are generally four factors to consider:
1. Whether the school is recognized.
Is the university you are attending recognized by the Ministry of Education of China? U.S. universities accept universities that are recognized by your home country's Department of Education.
2. The similarity between the course and the course.
To what extent are the courses taken similar in nature and characteristics to those offered by the transferring school? U.S. universities generally evaluate the similarity of courses through course descriptions, syllabuses, or university catalogs. Because of the different national conditions, even for the same major, the curriculum in China is not the same as that in the United States.
**Consultation. How do you show the similarity between the two courses? Syllabus details the content of the course, the method of delivery, the credits or hours, and the assessment method, which has a significant impact on the transfer of credits.
3. The degree of matching between the course and the major.
To what extent are your courses relevant to your degree, especially the major you wish to study? This is often decided after an assessment of the course you are taking by the admissions office and the department you wish to attend.
4. GPA scores.
The better the grades, the higher the GPA, and the more likely it is to succeed. In general, many schools do not accept course credits with a grade of C or less.
How many credits can be transferred?
Some students who transfer earlier are also not allowed to transfer credits from language courses and special courses at the dual enrollment stage to the new university.
At the beginning of course selection, students who are planning to transfer should give priority to the general education courses offered by each university, such as humanities and social sciences, basic natural sciences, etc.; The second is the basic course of professional courses.
Usually each university will set an upper limit on the total number of transferable credits, and some universities will set an upper limit on the transferable credits of professional courses. In addition, there is a rule in American universities that if you want to obtain a diploma from the university, you must study at the university for no less than two academic years, and some schools such as engineering schools will require that the duration of study at the university must not be less than three academic years. It can be seen that there are many factors that limit the number of transferable credits, and they cannot be generalized.
What is the transfer process?
1. After confirming the acceptance of the admission, or after arriving at the school, the transfer student takes the initiative or according to the notice of the student advisor to collect the syllabus (syllabus) and submit it.
2. The syllabus of different courses needs to be classified and distributed to different departments, at this time, the general transfer student management system will show the record of how many credits have been recognized by your domestic university. However, it doesn't really mean that credits are recognized, and it depends on which courses the professor agrees to exempt you from. At this time, it is best to have some supplementary materials such as textbooks and syllabuses.

Fewer classes...
For example, if you require 30 credits to graduate, you will need to take 30 credits in school.
But if you can transfer 10 credits, you only need to take 20 credits.
I don't know if you're also a transfer credit. At that time, when I went out, I was asked by Concordia, York and UBC to submit a description of the domestic undergraduate course, and the agent was not responsible for writing this (or it was written very confusing with three or two lines of a course). In the end, I took the master's lesson, which transferred a lot of credits, and also saved more than 100,000 tuition fees. >>>More
