BSCI Certification (Business Social Compliance Initiative) - Business Social Compliance Initiative, BSCI is the Business Social Compliance Initiative ("BSCI") that aims to implement a unified set of procedures to monitor and promote the social responsibility performance of companies that produce related products through continuous improvement of development policies.
The Business Compliance Initiative (BSCI) includes retailers, brand companies and merchants. Since January 2018, it has changed its name to Amfori Global ** Association (abbreviated as Amfori BSCI), and in the past 2 years, more and more buyers have accepted this certification, such as: Wal-Mart, Disney, Target, Amazon, BJ'S, Walgreen, THD, and many more.
What are the advantages and functions of BSCI certification?
1. Fulfill the requirements of guests;
2. One certification should be used by different customers to reduce the number of factory inspections conducted by different buyers at different times;
3. Enhance the brand image and industry status of the factory;
4. The implementation of the specification can reduce the potential safety hazards of the factory.
How much does a BSCI audit cost?
BSCI certification fees, due to the different market strategies of different audit companies, their man-days will be different (for example, some audit institutions charge 525 US dollars per person per day, some institutions charge about 4,500 yuan per person per day, and some audit agencies charge travel expenses according to the average **, and some are charged differently by distance).
In addition, if it is a follow-up audit, you need to refer to how many PAs there are in the last report to determine the audit fee. Therefore, the "BSCI factory inspection fee" ultimately needs to be confirmed with the audit agency.
In addition, if the factory is doing BSCI certification for the first time, it will add an additional 1,000 yuan registration fee.

In March 2003, the FTA, a foreign ** association headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, formally established BSCI, an organization that advocates social responsibility in the business community, with the aim of developing implementation measures and procedures for the European business community's compliance program. BSCI has more than 1,300 members from 11 countries, mostly European retailers and buyers, who are actively pushing for their best business in the world to be certified by BSCI to improve their human rights situation.
BSCI certification is applicable to all industries.
BSCI certified experts will analyze and assess whether a facility is capable of certification in five steps.
Step 1: Audit preparation.
Prior to the audit, each production site of the factory is required to complete a self-assessment questionnaire to help the auditor get an initial understanding of the factory. The BSCI certifier will then send a list of audit documents. BSCI certification also requires a signed and stamped document, which includes the factory's authorization for BSCI certified personnel to take photos on site, conduct employee interviews, and enter the audit results into a database to share with other members.
Step 2: On-site audit.
Once the audit is prepared, a BSCI certified person will visit the factory to perform the audit. BSCI certification is required to determine whether the work meets the guidelines of the BSCI Code of Conduct and to check for any parts that do not fully meet the requirements of the SA8000 social management standard. BSCI certifiers will hold a kick-off meeting to explain the audit objectives and process.
Specialists from BSCI certified personnel will then begin an on-site audit, which includes a review of the production line, staff quarters and cafeteria, interviews with supervisors and employees, and review of documentation. At the end of the review, a wrap-up meeting will be held again.
Step 3: Register and enter the BSCI system.
After the audit, the facility will receive an audit report in English with the results of the audit. The results of the audit will be uploaded to the BSCI database so that other members can also see the audit record.
Step 4: Renew your certification.
If non-conformities or improvement requirements are found during the audit, it is necessary for the facility to take corrective action as soon as possible. After that, the BSCI certification personnel will go to the factory to conduct another audit to ensure that the BSCI certification personnel have completed effective improvements. The certifier uploads the results of the re-audit to the BSCI database.
Step 5: Renewal review.
The validity period of BSCI verification applied by the factory is 2 years. After the renewal review, the validity period of the certificate will be extended for another 2 years.
