Chinese mythology and legend has it that the origin of fire is that the Suiren clan drilled wood to make fire.
In ancient times, the area around Shangqiu, Henan Province was a forest. The flint clan, which lives in the forest, often preys on wild beasts, and often produces sparks when the stones that hit the beasts collide with the mountain rocks.
Inspired by this, the Fusiliers struck stones against stones, and the resulting sparks ignited the velvet to create fire. This method of making fire was still used in the rural areas of Shangqiu 30 years ago. At that time, a saint received inspiration from a bird pecking at the flint wood and a spark, so he broke off the flint branches and drilled the wood to make fire.
He taught this method to people, and human beings learned to make fire artificially, use fire to cook food, lighting, heating, smelting, etc., and human life entered a new stage. People called this saint the Suiren clan and worshipped him as the "head of the three emperors".

1. The legend of Vulcantai.
Legend has it that Emperor Yu's son, Yan Bo, was originally the "God of Fire" in the sky, and he violated the rules of heaven by secretly throwing fire into the world, and the Emperor wanted to demote him to the mortal world for the people. When he was about to come down from heaven, he secretly hid the fire on his body and brought it to the world. Not long after, the Emperor of Heaven knew about the theft of the fire, so the Emperor of Heaven sent a flood to drown the fire in the world and punish him.
The flood of the earth was like a beast of prey, and it frightened people into fleeing in all directions. In order to preserve the fire, he built a high platform, set up a shed to shelter from the rain, and stayed alone on the high platform to guard the fire. When the flood receded, when people came back from all directions, the fire on the high platform was still burning, but Yan Bo starved to death by the fire.
2. The legend of Zhurong, the god of fire.
Zhu Rong's original name was Li, and legend has it that he was born in a clan society and was the son of a clan leader. Li has been particularly fond of fire since he was a child, and at that time, the Suiren clan had just invented drilling wood to make fire, and people lacked knowledge about the preservation and use of fire.
Once, when he was on a long migration with his father, he brought only stones to drill wood for fire, because it was inconvenient to walk with him. At night, everyone was going to use fire, but Li couldn't get the fire, so he was so angry that he threw the stone to the mountain, but the stone fell and splashed a few sparks.
The clever Li saw an idea and immediately came up with a new way to make fire. He picked the dried reeds, knocked them against the reeds with two sharp stones, and the sparks splashed on the reeds, and then a light blow made a fire. This is the later method of striking stones to make fire.
Therefore, at that time, the Yellow Emperor named him the official of fire and gave him the name Zhurong.

Zhurong and the battle of co-workers.
Because Zhu Rong taught human beings to use fire, people worship Zhu Rong very much, but the water god Gonggong can't see it, thinking that everything in the world is inseparable from water, why do human beings only worship Zhu Rong, but not themselves, the more they think about it, the more angry they are. So the water from the four lakes and five seas rushed to Kunlun Mountain, extinguishing the holy fire on Kunlun Mountain, and suddenly the whole world was pitch black. Zhu Rong was very angry when he learned that he rode the fire dragon and fought with the Gonggong, the water finally flowed low, and the flood fell down from Kunlun Mountain, and Zhu Rong took the opportunity to launch an attack and burned the Gonggong to the ground.
Gonggong lost badly, and crashed into Buzhou Mountain in a fit of anger, who knew that Buzhou Mountain was a pillar of heaven, and the pillar of heaven was broken, and the sky also fell, bringing disaster to all things in the world, so it attracted the story of Nuwa mending the sky.

Chinese mythology.
The god of fire is one of the gods in the belief of folk gods, and all ethnic groups in China have the custom of sacrificing to the god of fire. However, the image and origin of the god of fire in the ancient historical records of the Han nationality and the legends of various ethnic groups are very different, and there are many differences in related beliefs and folk customs.
Among the various ethnic groups that believe in shamanism in the north of our country, the god of fire is an ancient woman, known as the mother of fire, the fire woman, the fire girl, the fire spirit, etc. For example, the legend of the Oroqen tribe: a woman got up in the morning to bake the fire, because she offended the fire god.
No matter where her family moves, she can't be promoted. Later, she pleaded with the fire god's mother-in-law, received forgiveness, and when she went home and lit the fire again, the fire ignited. According to Mr. Wu Bing'an, the sacrosanct principle of the god of fire embodied in this legend not only runs through the production customs of hunting and grazing of some ethnic groups in the north, but also implements it in all aspects of daily life.
While respecting the blessings that fire brings to the world, people regard fires in forest meadows, fevers, children's nightmares, and other diseases as the result of the fire god's anger, and the more they revere it, the more they fear its punishment and revenge. As a result, the god of fire is revered and sacrificed far more often than other nature gods (The Mysterious Shamanic World, Shanghai Branch of Joint Publishing Co., Ltd., 1989).
Manchu mythology and legend has it that the young hero Toa stole a gourd of fire from the Heavenly Fire Storehouse, he chiseled the stones out of the hole, and then loaded the fire into the stones one by one, brought them back to the world, and told people to make fire from them by knocking the stones. In this way, there is a fire in the world. Since then, people have worshipped Toa as the god of fire, and in addition to spring and autumn sacrifices, a solemn ceremony to welcome the god of fire is held every year on Chinese New Year's Eve (ibid.).
The worship of the god of fire of the ethnic minorities in the southwest is different from the personification of the god of fire of the ethnic minorities in the north, and most of them regard the burning flame as the embodiment of the god of fire (or regard the pot stone, fire pond stove, etc. as the symbol of the god of fire), and worship it as the protector god who bestows fire and wealth and makes the family prosper.

There was a great god in the sky named Fu Xi, who was very sad when he saw that life on earth was so difficult, and he wanted people to know the use of fire. So Fuxi showed his magic and rained a thunderstorm in the mountains and forests. With a "click", thunder and lightning struck the trees, which burst into flames and soon turned into raging fires.
People were frightened by thunder and lightning and fire, and ran in all directions. Soon, the thunderstorm stopped, and night fell, and the earth became even more wet and cold after the rain. The fleeing people gathered again, looking in horror at the burning trees.
Then a young man noticed that the howls of the beasts that had been around him were gone, and he thought, "Is the beast afraid of this shiny thing?" So he bravely went to the fire, and he found that he was so warm.
He excitedly greeted everyone: "Come on, this fire is not terrible at all, it brings us light and warmth!" At this time, people found a beast that had been burned not far away, emitting a burst of fragrance.
People gathered around the fire and ate the meat of the roasted beasts, thinking that they had never eaten such a delicacy. The people felt the preciousness of the fire, and they picked up the branches, lit the fire, and kept it. Every day there are people who take turns guarding the fire and not letting it go out.
But one day the man on duty fell asleep, and the fire burned out the branches and went out. People are plunging back into darkness and cold, and the pain is excruciating.
The great god Fuxi saw all this in the heavens, and he came to the dream of the young man who first discovered the usefulness of fire, and told him: "There is a kingdom of Suiming in the far west, and there is fire, and you can go there and get it back." The young man woke up, remembered what the great god had said in his dream, and decided to go to Suiming Kingdom to find the fire.
The young man climbed over the mountains, waded through the big rivers, passed through the forests, and went through hardships to finally come to the country of Suiming. But there was no sunlight here, day and night, and there was darkness everywhere, and there was no fire at all. The young man was very disappointed and sat down under a big tree called "Suimu" to rest.
Suddenly, there was a flash of light in front of the young man's eyes, and another flash, illuminating the surroundings very brightly. The young man immediately stood up and looked around for a light source. At this time, he noticed that on the Suimu tree, several large birds were pecking at the insects on the tree with their short, hard beaks.
As soon as they pecked, bright sparks flashed from the trees. When the young man saw this, a flash of inspiration flashed in his mind. He immediately broke some branches of Suimu and used small branches to drill large branches, and the branches really flashed with fire, but they couldn't come.
The young man was not discouraged, he found various branches and patiently rubbed them with different branches. Finally, smoke came out of the branches, and then there was a fire. The young man burst into tears of joy.
Hope it helps.
