How do I automatically log in to the Linux system when I start up the computer?

In Windows (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7), it is actually easy to implement automatic login users at boot.

The first method is this.

Step 1: Run the registry (click "Run" in the start menu, type regedit and press enter to open the registry), then [hkey local machine software microsoft windows nt currentversion winlogon] branch, then double-click "defaultusername" in the right window, and then enter your login username. If you don't have a preset username, you can add this item by clicking "New String Value(s) defaultusername" in the menu bar of the registry, noting that it is case-sensitive.

Step 2: Also under the [hkey local machine software Microsoft Windows NT CurrentVersion Winlogon] branch, double-click on "DefaultPassword" in the right window of the registry and enter your password in the blank field. If you don't find the "defaultpassword" item, you can follow the steps above to create a new string value.

Step 3: Next, double-click on "autoadminlogon" in the right window and set the value to "1". If you do not find autoadminlogon, you can create a new one by following the steps above.

Now close the registry and restart the computer, and later you will find that annoying login dialog is gone.

If you want to recover. Delete the above item and you're good to go.

The first one is good for those who like to manually manipulate the registry.

But there is actually a more convenient way in the system, click on the run in the start menu, and then enter control userpasswords2 and press the enter key, which will open the "user account" property, which is not found in the control panel.

The second step is simple, uncheck the box "To use the machine, the user must enter the user name and password (e)", then press "OK" and enter the user name and password that will automatically log in after turning on the computer.
