In the field of human dignity, on the one hand, scholars highly respect Kant, and on the other hand, many scholars are full of misunderstandings about Kant's citation and even research. This article begins with a brief overview of two opposing interpretations of Kant's conception of dignity: one view is that, in Kant's view, dignity is intrinsic value, which is the basis of respect, and that everyone has dignity, so everyone should be respected, and therefore human dignity is also the basis of human rights.

Another view is that, for Kant, there is no concept of intrinsic value as a metaphysical property, nor can human dignity be the basis of respect, and that the duty of respect derives from the categorical imperative of reason; Kant's concept of dignity basically belongs to the traditional paradigm, and Kant's use of the word dignity only expresses the relationship between one thing and the other, which does not contain the meaning of equality, so dignity cannot be the basis of human rights. Based on Kant's text, this paper explains Kant's threefold relationship between dignity and value, dignity and respect, dignity and equality, and analyzes the problems and reasons in the above two opposing interpretations. First, Kant's so-called human dignity first refers to the fact that rational people are self-ends, not tools, which expresses the idea that personality is higher than objects.

Kant's intrinsic or absolute value does not refer to a metaphysical property, but to a self-purpose. By understanding intrinsic value in this way, the opposition between the above two interpretations can be partially eliminated. Second, when Kant talks about human dignity, he focuses on emphasizing that morality is the key to the transformation of the kingdom of ends from an ideal to a reality, that is, morality makes people worthy of dignity.

Third, for Kant, there are two levels of human dignity: dignity due to the possession of reason and moral capacity, and dignity due to the fulfillment of moral obligations. Correspondingly, respect has two dimensions:

The duty of self-respect and mutual respect and the fulfillment of moral obligations that deserve respect. Fourth, Kant's conception of dignity contains the meaning of equality at the basic level that human beings have dignity and are different from things, but it is unequal at the level of emphasizing that people deserve dignity because of morality. Kant's other texts may provide greater support for contemporary theories of the defence of human rights than his texts on dignity.

Authority and dignity are two very different concepts.

Authority refers to the high degree of power, status, or influence that an institution, organization, or individual has in a certain field. This power, along with the associated resources, enables their decisions or actions to be widely accepted and recognized. For example, the state, academic organizations, experts and scholars have high authority in their own fields.

Dignity, on the other hand, refers to the value that an individual or group enjoys in terms of morality, honor or respect, as well as concern for one's own image and respect. Dignity is closely related to the character and personality of a person or a group, and it is the kind of spiritual realm that cannot be violated, and needs to be respected and protected by others.

In real life, both authority and dignity are important. Authority can help us better understand our expertise in a certain area and make the right decisions, but it also needs to show its dignity through words and deeds. Dignity is based on the quality chain of personal character, personality and other aspects, and is based on mutual respect and tolerance.

When morality and ethics are undermined, dignity is also compromised.

Tolerance and respect means not controlling, not substituting, not hindering, not demanding that the other party comply with it, or change the other party's path for its own purposes.

The purpose of all the holes is to bless the other person and make them better on the road to becoming themselves.

We can't just because our ability is strong enough, love enough, and enthusiasm enough to provide the other party with what they don't need, are not prepared to want, or go beyond what they want. It is also impossible to use a tough attitude or coercive way to ask the other party to accept or obey in the name of "I am for your good" and "I am doing this right".

Asking for help on the basis of the other person's permission is our greatest love for him/her.

According to my thoughts, I think life is more important than dignity, life is real, no life, what's the use of this bullshit dignity, as long as there is life, it proves that you can still turn the tables, you haven't completely lost, give up your dignity for a while, and try to make people who look down on themselves and often look down on themselves pay the price, I don't like those who sacrifice their lives for dignity, bow their arrogant heads, and then work hard to develop, so that those who look down on themselves are good-looking, and then you can raise your head forever, everyone respects themselves, Isn't it?
