In light lighting, there is a term called beam angle, and many people do not understand its actual role. Buying lamps and lanterns only to look good, sometimes you feel that the range of lights at home does not look so wide? In fact, the beam angle is the finishing touch in home lighting design.
The reason why the lamps can emit different light effects is because of the different sizes of beam angles.
1.What is Beam Angle.
The most intuitive explanation of the beam angle is the size of the spot area produced by a beam of light hitting the object, as well as the brightness of the central area. The spot range is the illumination range. For two lamp cups with the same power, the larger the beam angle, the smaller the central light intensity, and the larger and softer the light spot area emitted; On the contrary, the smaller the beam angle, the greater the intensity of the light in the center, and the smaller and stiffer the spot area emitted.
To put it simply, the larger the angle, the larger the light range, the smaller the light intensity, and the less dark areas. Vice versa.
2.Application of beam angles at different angles.
1) Narrow beam angle.
Narrow beam angle: less than 20°
Suitable places: small corners or decorative lighting, murals, green plants, flowers and plants, etc.
Functions and advantages and disadvantages: The narrow beam angle is mainly used to emphasize the prominent items, for example, if you want to make the mural at home eye-catching, use a beam angle of about 15° for lighting. The advantage is that the central area is clearly prominent, and the range of the light spot is relatively small, which is more suitable as accent lighting.
The disadvantage is that it is not suitable for large-area lighting, and it is easy to produce a sense of space oppression.
2) Medium beam angle.
Medium beam angle: 20°-45°
Suitable places: shadow lighting, wall washing, used for partial lighting, often with narrow beam angles to set off items.
Functions and advantages and disadvantages: The medium beam angle is mainly used to wash the wall or cooperate with lighting, highlighting the layering of light, and creating a good home atmosphere. The advantage is that the lighting area is larger and the light is softer.
When washing the wall with spotlights, you will generally see layers of warm lighting. The disadvantage is that the beam angle is relatively wide, and the irradiation area is somewhat small.
3) Wide beam angle.
Wide beam angle: 50° and above.
Suitable places: It can be used in places with large spaces in the home, such as living rooms, kitchens, study rooms, etc.
Functions and advantages and disadvantages: The wide beam angle is mainly used for large-area basic lighting, and the overall brightness is uniform. The advantage is that the spot range is large, the light is very scattered, there are basically no traces of the edge of the aperture, and the brightness is enough and beautiful.
The disadvantage is that it lacks the layering of lighting and almost no chiaroscuro.
After reading so much, have you figured out what beam angle to use in your home? If you really don't know how to choose, it is recommended that you choose a medium beam angle of 35°-40° as a whole, and the middle power is often the most versatile and not easy to make mistakes (if you like a little more bright places at home, you can use a wide beam angle). Some flowers and decorative paintings can be used with a narrow beam angle of 15°.

I don't know if you are familiar with the concept of beam angle? This is very important in the design of the main lamp style!
The beam angle is intuitively the extent of the spot and the brightness of the central area. Beam angles can be divided into wide beam angles, narrow beam angles, and medium beam angles. We generally refer to the narrow beam angle less than 20°, the wide beam angle greater than 40°, and the medium beam angle of 20°-40°.
Narrow beam angles are generally used to highlight objects in display, not only because the narrow beam angle makes the surrounding chiaroscuro more distinct, but also because the role of light can also highlight the texture of the illuminated object and make the object more textured.
The light on the background wall of the sofa in the picture comes from the 24° beam angle lamp, if you want to create a wall washing effect, you can choose the appropriate beam angle according to the size of the space, generally choose from the medium beam angle lamp.
As mentioned above, narrow beam angles are often used for displaying items, but there is a case where medium beam angles can also be used and the results are better.
When the object to be illuminated is a large painting, you can choose a lamp with a medium beam angle according to the situation, so that the light can be evenly distributed on the painting, which often makes the painting more full and exquisite.
At this time, if you insist on choosing a small beam angle, it will be like the picture above, because the light cannot illuminate the whole picture, resulting in more dark corners on the painting, and this chiaroscuro will often destroy the meaning of the picture and make the picture messy.
The wide beam angle is mainly used as basic lighting, but unlike the uniform lighting of the whole space of the main light, the wide beam angle has key areas and non-key areas, making the space more layered.
The design of the style without main lamp should not only choose the right lamp matching, but also choose the right lamp parameters to achieve the best effect!

Ordinary lighting has a live wire and a neutral line and a grounding wire, set up a switch on the live wire, you can control the working state of the lamp, emergency lighting (lamp with battery and emergency controller) in addition to the above-mentioned wires, also need to add a battery charging line, this line is generally drawn from the other control switch, usually uninterrupted, will not be controlled by the general lighting control box circuit control switch and the on-site wall switch. When the charging cable switch is powered off, the emergency light is lit. This emergency lighting mode is usually called the decentralized emergency lighting system, now the more important building, the whole lighting system is powered by dual power supply, so as to increase the reliability of power supply, as long as there is any circuit power supply, the emergency lights are working in the normal lighting state, only when the two power supplies are out of power or in the case of fire cutting non-fire power supply, the charging cable also loses power, the emergency light works in the emergency state.
