Pingju, at the end of the Qing Dynasty, was formed on the basis of the small song "Counterpart Lotus Fall" in Luanxian County, Hebei Province, which was first popular in rural Hebei, and then entered Tangshan, called "Tangshan Luozi". In the 20s of the 20th century, it was popular in the Tohoku region, and a group of actresses appeared. After the 30s of the 20th century, Pingju became more and more mature under the influence of Peking Opera, Hebei Bangzi and other operas, and genres such as Bai Yushuang, Xi Cailian, and Ai Lianjun appeared.
After 1950, the repertoire of "Liu Qiaoer", "Flower as the Matchmaker", "Yang Sanjie's Complaint", "Qin Xianglian" and other plays had a great impact on the country, and famous actors such as Xin Fengxia, Xiaobai Yushuang, and Wei Rongyuan appeared. Now Pingju is still popular in Hebei and Beijing.
Pingju is one of the most influential local operas in the country, formed in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, with a history of about 70 years. It originated from the "lotus fall" in the eastern Hebei region, and later absorbed the tone of "jumping" in the northeast, so it was called "falling" and "jumping" in the early years. At first, it was a form of lip singing, similar to the "two-person turn" in the Northeast, and later successively absorbed the percussion of Hebei Bangzi, Luanzhou Shadow Opera, Leting Big Drum and Peking Opera singing and performance, forming "Tangshan Luozi", and then "Fengtian Luozi", and finally became the current Pingju.
Cheng Zhaocai was a famous actor and playwright in the early days of Pingju. He created many new styles and created and adapted more than 100 kinds of scripts, which played an important role in the formation of Pingju.
The artistic characteristics of Pingju are: good at singing, clear pronunciation, easy to understand singing, clear singing, strong atmosphere of performance life, and a cordial folk flavor. Its form is lively and free, and it is the best at expressing contemporary people's life, so it has a large audience in both urban and rural areas.
The singing cavity of Pingju is a plate cavity, and there are various plate types such as slow board, two six plates, stacked boards and loose plates. After the liberation, remarkable achievements have been made in the innovation of drama evaluation, singing, and performance, especially the shortcomings of the poor singing voice of the male protagonist, and the male singing voice has been newly created.
Pingju was originally divided into two factions: East Road and West Road. The one that prevails today is the East Road, which is popular in Hebei and the three eastern provinces, and also has a wide audience in the south. The West Road Pingju, also known as "Beijing Jumping", was formed under the influence of the East Road Pingju Bangzi and the old tune.
It has a high-pitched tone, rich heads, and a unique style. Before and after the Xin Revolution, it was performed in Beijing and various parts of western Beijing, and was very popular with the audience, but later it was on the verge of extinction. In 1958, it was excavated and sorted out by the China Ping Theater and reappeared on the stage.
"Flower Pavilion Club" is a good drama that has been sorted out and inherited by young actors.

In the 55th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, Hui opera entered Beijing, and the four major Hui troupes of "Sanqing", "Sixi", "Hechun" and "Chuntai" successively entered Beijing to perform and were very popular. During the Daoguang period, the Han was transferred to Beijing. Because the Hui class often performs on the same stage with the Han tune artists, the Hui tune "Er Huang" and the Han tune "Xipi" are played together, which is taken for granted, so the drama based on skin and yellow was born, which is called "Pi Huang Opera".
According to the singing cavity at that time, Erhuang (originated from the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River region) was the main one, and its beautiful singing voice and beautiful and meticulous performance were widely loved.
In ancient times, the foot was wrapped, and the small foot was first wrapped in 969-975 A.D. during the reign of Li Yu in the Southern Tang Dynasty. Later, this custom gradually spread to the common people, and women regarded foot binding as beauty. At that time, the feudal literati and scholars had a morbid aesthetic, regarded women as playthings, and it became a habit to play with women's small feet. >>>More
