Lord Zao said: "Your whole family is hardworking and united, I don't have any requirements, today, I want to go to heaven to report to the Jade Emperor for a year's work." Although the Lord of the Stove said so, the pious Yin Zifang still slaughtered the only sheep in the family and presented it to the Lord of the Stove, and invited the Lord of the Stove to enjoy it.

Lord Zao liked Yin Zifang's respect very much, so he secretly helped their family. Since then, the life of Yin Zifang's family has been getting better and better, and they have become well-known wealthy families near and far. Therefore, the folk custom of worshipping the king of the stove on the twenty-third day of the lunar month has been passed down in this way.

The old people believe that the Lord of the Stove supervises and protects the family, and every 23rd of the lunar month will go back to the sky to report to the Jade Emperor and tell the stories of the people themselves, and in order to make the Lord of the Stove say more good things and less bad words, the 23rd of the 23rd month of the Lunar New Year will sacrifice to the stove. On the day of the sacrificial stove, it is indispensable to offer some delicious food, even if it is a poor family, it is necessary to get some starch sugar to paste it on the mouth of the king of the stove, in order to let the king of the stove have dessert in his mouth, and say more good things in front of the Jade Emperor.
