Zhou Yu (175-210), the name Gongjin, the first of the four generals of Eastern Wu, was a native of Shucheng, Lujiang. When he was young, he met Sun Ce and became friends of life and death. After Sun Ce broke away from Yuan Shu and became independent, Zhou Yu took the initiative to defect to Sun Ce.
In Sun Ce's war to pacify Jiangdong, he played the dual role of a strategist and a general, and subdued Tai Shici with stratagem. After Sun Ce pacified Jiangdong, Zhou Yu served as the governor of the navy. In 200, Sun Ce died early, and before he died, he said to Sun Quan, "Ask Zhou Yu if you don't decide on foreign affairs."
After Sun Quan succeeded to the throne, he also trusted Zhou Yu very much. In 208, Sun Quan went west to conquer Huangzu, and Zhou Yu made great contributions. In 208, Cao Cao went south, and his goal was directly aimed at Jiangdong, and Sun Quanzhan and undecided.
Zhou Yu rushed back from Poyang Lake in time and correctly analyzed the various drawbacks of Cao Cao's distant arrival, so that Sun Quan decided to fight Cao Cao. Zhou Yu, as the governor of the navy, used fire to attack Cao Cao, which was the famous Battle of Chibi. After the Battle of Chibi, Zhou Yu was poisoned by arrows when he attacked Nanjun, but he still desperately took Nanjun.
Subsequently, Zhou Yu ceded the south bank of the Yangtze River to Liu Bei, but Liu Bei went to Jingkou to see Sun Quan and asked for the whole of Jingzhou, Sun Quan agreed, so Zhou Yu had to retreat to Chaisang County to recuperate, and during his illness Zhou Yu reminded Sun Quan to beware of Liu Bei. In 210, Zhou Yu led his troops to attack Xichuan, and when he arrived at Baqiu City, he suffered an arrow wound and died young at the age of 36. After Sun Quan heard the news, he immediately welcomed Zhou Yu's coffin back to Chaisang.
Zhou Yu in history was heroic and broad-minded. Cheng Pu, a veteran of Eastern Wu, followed Sun Jian in his early years, thought of himself as a meritorious person, and looked down on the young Zhou Yu. But Zhou Yu didn't care about Cheng Pu, and finally convinced Cheng Pu himself, Cheng Pu said:
Having sex with Zhou Gongjin, like drinking alcohol, I don't feel drunk. By the time of the Song Dynasty, the world still liked Zhou Yu very much, which can be seen from Su Shi's "Nian Nujiao". But after the Yuan Dynasty, people gradually scandalized Zhou Yu, and by the time "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" was written, Zhou Yu became a completely different person.
One of the very important reasons for this is the relationship between Zhou Yu and Liu Bei, on the one hand, Zhou Yu took the initiative to cede the south bank of the Yangtze River to Liu Bei, but this is largely a diplomatic act; On the other hand, Zhou Yu saw Liu Bei's heroic nature, and did not want Liu Bei to grow stronger day by day, so he wrote to Sun Quan and asked Sun Quan to put Liu Bei under house arrest in Jingkou (this is the origin of the beauty plan in "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", but in fact, Zhou Yu himself did not use the beauty plan, and Sun Shangxiang was also married to Liu Bei by Sun Quan on his own initiative), but Sun Quan was unwilling. In terms of attitude towards Liu Bei's side, Zhou Yu and Lu Su took a completely different approach, Zhou Yu was a radical, while Lu Su saw a farther vision. It's a pity that thousands of years later, these two people have become the backers of Zhuge Liang, who was still unknown at the time, Zhou Yu has become synonymous with narrow-mindedness, and Lu Su has become a surprisingly stupid person who is honest.

Zhou Yu's main deeds are:
Zhou Yushao became friends with Sun Ce, and in the second year of Xingping, he helped Sun Ce cross the river to attack Liu Xuan. Jian'an followed Sun Ce to pacify Jiangdong in the third year, Sun Ce was assassinated in the fifth year of Jian'an, Sun Quan succeeded him, and Zhou Yu's generals went to the funeral, and he was in charge of public affairs with Zhang Zhao of the long history as the protector of the army. In the seventh year of Jian'an, Cao Cao was responsible for sending the pledge, and Zhou Yu admonished him to resist the pledge, smashing Cao Cao's attempt to hold Jiangdong hostage.
In the thirteenth year of Jian'an, Cao's army was in Jiangdong, and Zhou Yu analyzed Cao Cao's troops for Sun Quan, and fought against Cao, and personally led the Wu army to defeat Cao's army in Chibi with fire. The Battle of Chibi is one of the famous battles in Chinese history in which fewer won more, and this battle laid the foundation for the "three divisions of the world" in the late Han Dynasty.
Later, he led the army to break the combined forces of Cao Ren and Xu Huang in the Battle of Nanjun, and successfully captured the important military town of Jiangling. In the fifteenth year of Jian'an, he put forward the strategy of "taking Shu, and Zhang Lu, joining Ma Chao, and then using Xiangyang as a base to encroach on Cao Cao, and the north can be profitable". On the way to Shu, he died of illness in Baqiu at the age of thirty-six.
Zhou Yu's Story:
After Sun and Liu united with Chibi to break Cao, Sun Quan took Liu Bei as the left general and led Jingzhou, and Zhou Yu as the partial general to lead the Nanjun Taishou. Liu Bei went to the capital to meet Sun Quan.
Zhou Yu said in the book: Liu Bei is a generation of heroes, and he is assisted by Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, who are fierce like bears and tigers, and he will definitely not live under the people for a long time and be used by others. I think Liu Bei should be moved into the mainland, build a palace for him, give him beautiful women's toys, make Liu Bei indulge in pleasure, put Guan Yu and Zhang Fei on their own, and send cronies to hold them hostage, such a big thing can be decided.
And now he is giving the land to Liu Bei, in order to fund his business, so that Liu, Guan, and Zhang can gather in the territory, I am afraid that Jiaolong will get the help of Yunyu and will not live in the pool after all. Later, he used "the thing in the pool" to describe people who have no ambition, and they are in a corner.

Sun Ce was assassinated, Sun Quan succeeded him, and Zhou Yu's generals went to the funeral, and the Zhonghu Army and Changshi Zhang Zhao were in charge of all affairs.
In the thirteenth year of Jian'an, Zhou Yu led the army to unite with Liu Bei and defeated Cao's army in the Battle of Chibi, thus laying the foundation of "three points of the world to do potatoes". During the Three Kingdoms period, on the eve of the Battle of Chibi, Zhou Yu skillfully used a counter-plot to kill the rebel generals Cai Mao and Zhang Yun, who were proficient in water warfare.
Zhou Yushao became friends with Sun Ce, and in the second year of Xingping (195), he helped Sun Ce cross the river to attack Liu Xuan. In the third year of Jian'an (198), he officially pacified Jiangdong with Sun Ce, and in the fifth year of Jian'an (200), Sun Ce was assassinated, Sun Quan succeeded him, and Zhou Yu's generals went to the funeral, and he was in charge of public affairs with Zhang Zhao of the long history as the protector of the army. In the seventh year of Jian'an (202), Cao Cao was responsible for the power to send the pledge, and Zhou Yu admonished him to prevent the pledge, crushing Cao Cao's attempt to hold Jiangdong hostage.
Zhou Yu was born in the Dawu Dousui family, his cousin Zhou Jing, and his cousin Zhou Pinnianzhong, both of whom held the position of Taiwei of the Han Dynasty. His father Zhou Yi was the commander of Luoyang. Zhou Yu himself is tall, handsome, and ambitious.
In the first year of Chuping (190), when Sun Jianbing was fighting Dong Zhuo, his family lived in Shouchun, when Sun Jian's eldest son Sun Ce was born in the same year as Zhou Yu, and was very famous in the Jianghuai area. Zhou Yu went to visit and persuaded Sun Ce to take his mother and younger brother to move to Lujiangshu County, but Sun Ce listened to his advice. Zhou Yu let the mansion in Lunan for the Sun family to live in, and went to the church to meet Sun Ce's mother, and the two families became friends.
