Courtyard house is a combination of residential buildings in North China, which is a kind of square or rectangular courtyard. A family living in a closed yard. Also known as the quadrangle, it is a kind of traditional courtyard style building in China, its pattern is a courtyard with houses built on all sides, usually composed of the main house, the east and west wings and the inverted seat house, and the courtyard is enclosed in the middle from all sides, so it is called the quadrangle.
The planning and layout of the courtyard building is characterized by the symmetrical arrangement of the north-south longitudinal axis and the enclosed and independent courtyard. A social network system with the family courtyard as the center, the neighborhood as the trunk line, and the community area as the plane has been formed, and at the same time, a living environment that conforms to people's psychology and maintains traditional culture and neighborhood harmony has also been formed. Taking Beijing as an example, it is basically divided into the gate, the shadow wall, the hanging flower gate, the courtyard, the main house (sitting north and facing south), the back cover room, the east and west sides of the main house are the wing rooms, the main house and the wing room have ear rooms, and there are inverted seat rooms (sitting south and facing north) in the first courtyard that just enters the gate.
Now, it has become a symbol of cultural characteristics and cultural heritage with national and regional characteristics.

Connection: All are Chinese-style (or improved) buildings, with similar architectural styles and institutional functions.
Difference: In terms of layout, the temple has a nave, and the ordinary courtyard house does not.
-
The Buddhist monastery is like the Forbidden City, and the two sides are symmetrical on a central axis, and the courtyard is just a simple four-sided building.
-
One is where the Buddha lives, and the other is where people live.

Temple, in ancient times, was originally the name of the court institutions, such as 'Dali Temple' and 'Taichang Temple', and was extended to the official office. In the Han Dynasty, there was a Honglu Temple to entertain guests from all over the world. Later, Buddhism was introduced to China, and the number of monks from the Western Regions increased, so the White Horse Temple was built in Luoyang for foreign monks to live.
This is the origin of the place where Buddhist monks live and practice, and they can all be called temples.
The temple is a part of the temple and a separate house in the temple. Later, Buddhist monks also used the temple as the name of their residence, but the size of the temple was generally slightly smaller than that of the temple.
An antheminity is a place where Buddhist monks (bhikshunis) live.
Buddhist temples, courtyards, and courts should not be confused with palaces, temples, and temples. Palaces, temples, and temples do not need to be used in Buddhism (only Tibetan Buddhism uses 'palace').
Palace, the original meaning is a tall house, in the past, the emperor's residence was called the palace, and later Taoism worshiped the gods of heaven and earth, the patriarch and so on.
The temple is used by the court, the people, and Taoism, and is used to worship the ancestors, gods, immortals, etc.
It is dedicated to Taoism. Therefore, the temple also said that its meaning should include the place where Buddha and Taoism practiced. If it refers to the residence of Buddhist monks alone, it cannot be said to be a temple.
I have been to a courtyard hotel before I think it's pretty good, called the unnamed courtyard hotel, there are about thirteen or fourteen rooms, I caught up with the online activities to go, the courtyard renovation is very distinctive, both retain the original shadow wall wall, stone pier, arch of the old Beijing courtyard house, and modern ingredients in it, I have stayed in other courtyard hotels are the kind of very old-fashioned bed, the bed is hard, play a day, very tired, do not like to live in that kind of hard bed, the bed still affects the quality of sleep. The unnamed courtyard hotel is using Simmons mattresses, but the decoration of the room is very simple and elegant, and the internal hardware facilities are also complete But the courtyard has a common feature that the room heats up very slowly, so I notified the hotel about two hours before checking in to turn on the air conditioning in my room, and you can add an electric heater at night, which is still very comfortable. This kind of courtyard hotel may not be as comfortable as many high-star stars, there is a problem of poor sound insulation, but this kind of old house can not be renovated, after the change, maybe this old Beijing taste will be lost I think I want to feel the courtyard and the old Beijing Hutong, I recommend to live in such a hotel, the Hutong sells a lot of delicious snacks, you can go to the side to buy something to eat in the morning, it is still good
Courtyard is a kind of traditional architecture in our country, there are all over the country, and it has a history of thousands of years, but when we talk about courtyard houses, we will think of Beijing courtyard houses, such as Prince Gong's Mansion and other houses, which are more and more famous, and there are more classic courtyard houses. >>>More
