Language description is an important means of shaping the image of a character. Linguistic depictions include monologues and dialogues of characters. Monologue is an important means of reflecting the psychological activities of the characters.

A conversation can be a conversation between two people or several people talking to each other. The language of the characters should not only be personalized, but also reflect the artistry of the characters' speech. Successful language descriptions always clearly show the characters' personalities, vividly express the characters' thoughts and feelings, and deeply reflect the characters' inner world.

Words are the voice of the heart", people with different thoughts, different experiences, different statuses, and different personalities also have different languages. Lu Xun once said: "If we delete unnecessary points and only extract each person's characteristic conversation, I think we can make others deduce each person who speaks from the conversation."

Being able to allow the reader to "introduce each speaker" from "each person's unique conversation" is a successful language description.

First, the language should be able to show the identity, occupation, status, and experience of the character. As the saying goes, "Three sentences are not far from the line." When the jargon is used properly, the identity of the characters is naturally introduced.

The second type is that the language description should be able to express the thoughts and feelings of the characters and reflect the psychological activities of the characters. Language is the direct embodiment of thoughts, and the reader should clearly see the characters' deep feelings from the characters' inner feelings, the motives of their actions, the goals they pursue, and the measures they will take from the characters' monologues. The dialogue between the characters should gradually express the different feelings of the characters with different personalities as the plot unfolds, showing the inner communication between the characters.

Third, the language description should be personalized and in line with the identity of the character. It is necessary to show the personality characteristics of "this one" in the process of describing the voice and describing the dialogue. Such as Ah Q's spiritual victory, Kong Yiji's corruption, Zhou Puyuan's hypocrisy and ruthlessness, Wu Sunfu's cunning and coercion, Juexin's compromise and perfection, Hu Niu's pungent and rude, Sanxian Gu's pretending to be a ghost, Li Shuangshuang's enthusiasm and straightforwardness, and so on.

Fourth, language description should also be used to predict and promote the development of the storyline, explain the ins and outs of the story, or introduce the environment or the background of the times through language description, or deepen the theme through the mouth of the characters, so that language description becomes an organic part of the work. Finally, the language description should be vivid and concise, and avoid the eight-strand tone and student tone.
