For a variety of reasons, special patterns can be applied to aircraft. These may include sponsors, historical events, and important milestones. In fact, the possibilities seem endless. Although they are useful for airlines, aviation enthusiasts love special patterns the most.
Milestones
Milestones are a good reason to create special patterns for aircraft. More often than not, a special milestone pattern tells people what exactly is so special about this particular aircraft. For example, Lufthansa was the first airline to operate the Airbus A320neo.
Therefore, one of the airline's Airbus A320neo D-AICs has a special logo. On the side, it says "Fly the A320neo first: less noise, less fuel, less CO2."
However, Lufthansa is not alone. In December 2018, Boeing delivered its 787th Boeing 787 Dreamliner to China Southern Airlines. To commemorate this milestone, the aircraft was painted with a special "787 Boeing 787" pattern.
Legacy
Additionally, airlines have the option to paint special patterns on their aircraft to mark their history. In fact, these aircraft are called retro jets. For example, today British Airways celebrates its 100th anniversary with a vintage livery.
As part of the festivities, British Airways repainted the previous four aircraft. They are BOAC paints, BEA paints, Landor paints, and Negus paints.
Partners
Another reason why airlines can redraw aircraft on special aircraft is sponsors. German low-cost airline Eurowings has entered into a partnership with the German football team Borussia Dörtmund. Therefore, the airline chose one of the aircraft in the Borussia Dortmund color scheme for fuselage painting.
-
Just like the milestone, it is more commemorative and can also increase the visibility of your own aviation.
-
It is easy to identify the airline's aircraft so as not to cause unnecessary trouble.
-
This makes it easier to spot when there is danger in the sky
-
Because in this way, the aircraft will be very distinctive, and people will like this design more and more.
-
This is highly recognizable and can be remembered at once.
-
Usually I spray some of my company's logo on the plane.
-
Because this is their own pattern, in order to separate the planes of each family.
Flights are often delayed due to weather conditions, mechanical failures, flow control, etc., although this is regrettable, but you might as well take advantage of the delay to see how to get compensation for flight delay insurance, and buy some tea to quench the anger. >>>More
