What sentences count as passive voice and active voice

Sentences generally have subject-verb-object, which is the simplest component of a sentence (I am talking about the general situation, but there are also special cases where the subject is omitted like imperative sentences, and some also omit the object, and a sentence is composed only of predicates).

Whether the sentence is in the passive or active voice depends on the relationship between the subject and the predicate.

Predicate (verb acts).

The subject is the originator of the action, and the active voice is the one.

The receiver of the action at the time of the subject is the passive voice.

One of the following sentences is an example:

john will do his homework。

John will do her homework.

John is the initiator of the action of doing homework.

Therefore, this sentence is in the active voice.

The subject of the clothing is the bearer of the action of washing.

If the subject can spontaneously do the action indicated by the predicate, it is the active voice; If not, it is passive.

For example 1, i washed clothes(active)2, clothes were washed by me.(passive) In the first sentence, "I" is the subject and "wash" is the predicate; In the second sentence, "clothes" is the subject.

I can "do laundry", but clothes can only be washed. So 1 in the passive voice and 2 in the active voice.
