Modify the XP splash screen.
1. First of all, we need a tool software, I use reshacker, you can find me here. Of course exescope is fine, but I feel that reshacker is more convenient.
2. Locate the file, usually located in the C: Windows System32 directory.
3. Open the file with reghacker, find the first item: bitmap 1 2052, open the reshacker "operation" menu, find "replace bitmap", in ".
Open a new bit** file" to find the BMP file you want to replace, select "Open" -- replace", and finally save as a file, save to the C: Windows system32 directory (the file name can be filled in at will, and it will be the same as the one in the following file). (Note:.)
The boot screen only supports 16 colors, if you want to change to a beautiful **, you can do it with acdsee! )
4. Then find the file, which is usually located under the root directory of C: , and open the modification as follows:
boot loader]
timeout=3
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows
operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows="microsoft windows xp" /fastdetect /noexecute=optout /kernel=
Note: Actually, the main thing is to add this sentence at the end: noexecute=optout kernel= (the file name after this should be the same as the file name made before).
5. Restart.

The boot screen of windwosxp is a system file under Windows system32, and some shellpacks made by Beautifier have modified this file.
How to modify it? There are two ways to do this:
1) First enter the safe mode, find it in Windows system32 and change the name, and then copy the newly modified file to this folder and it's OK.
However, there are 3 points to be made:
1) Before replacing ntoskrnl, be sure to see if it is the same version as ntoskrnl on your own machine, if it is different, you must find the same replacement, otherwise it will lead to the error that Windows cannot be started.
3) If this "Windows File Protection" dialog box appears, leave it alone and click "Cancel Yes".
2) Change the name of the new boot screen file, whatever you want, such as ".
The system boots files in the root directory of the partition.
at multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)windows="microsoft
windows
xpprofessional"
fastdetect
Add later. kernel=, reboot and you will see a new boot screen.
