A: Yes! If some people can learn the Dharma and some people can't, then it's not equal.

There are three kinds of places not to go: not to go to the place of grudges, not to go to the place where people gather, and not to go to the place of fun.

Anyone who studies the Dharma must be in a suitable environment and not go to places that are not conducive to his practice, otherwise it will affect his practice and damage his merits. So, where should you not go? In a nutshell, there are three kinds of places, which are places of resentment, where people gather, and places where people have fun.

You can't go to the place of resentment and contention, and you can't go to the place where you are fighting for revenge, because we beginners don't have altruistic merits, we don't have the ability to mediate, and when we look at the hidden skin, not only will we get resentful, but we will also be implicated, which is not beneficial to ourselves and others, so after seeing this kind of scene, we pray to the Guru Three Jewels in our hearts, hoping that they will resolve their grievances and bring their hatred and not participate in it. In daily life, people who have misunderstandings or bad views about themselves should try to stay away from each other, so as not to add unnecessary misunderstandings and contradictions to each other.

The gathering place of the crowd here refers to the crowd of people who do not have correct knowledge and correct view, the metropolis, etc., and it is not a place where many Taoist friends work together to meditate and practice. For a practitioner, one should be in a suitable environment, obtain correct views through listening and contemplating, and then stabilize one's views in a quiet place without trouble, and practice according to the opinions. The six faults mentioned by the Dragon Warrior Bodhisattva in the "Book of Relatives and Friends", among which gambling and noisy realm are where everyone gathers.

In normal times, you should not often go to prosperous places such as big cities, so as not to generate and grow greed, hatred, and infatuation, so you should try to avoid going to places where people gather, except for going to promote the Dharma and benefit people after you have attained success.

The place of fun is not to go, the place of fun is the place where you go to play mahjong, chess, dance, watch videos, etc., these places will only promote greed and ignorance, will not increase wisdom, even those in the world who have a little cultivation will not go. When His Holiness Milarepa was carrying the only bag of nettles and an earthen pot on his back, the earthen pot broke on the way, and was seen by some of the girls who had gone to the assembly, and they said, "When we have the Dharma today, we should vow that we will not be as pitiful as him in our lifetimes."

At the same time, His Holiness Milarepa also silently made a vow: May I not be as pitiful as a few girls in my life, without correct knowledge and correct views. Foolish beings who do not have correct knowledge and correct views cling to perverted views and regard boring time as a pleasure.

A small number of practitioners used to have heavy habits in the world, so now they should observe their bad habits and give them up immediately. These teachings may seem easy, but they are difficult to do, so we should work on them.

It should be to take refuge in Buddhism first, and then develop bodhichitta and enter Mahayana, which is such a path. But it is very difficult to really take refuge in the Three Jewels from the heart, and you have to understand the Buddha's teachings first. Why?

The basis of refuge is faith, but this faith arises from reason, and without reason, there is no faith, and even faith is superstition. So first of all, we must understand the basic concepts of Buddhism, such as reincarnation, cause and effect, and impermanence.
