The relationship between Yan Yan and Xueqin is so close, how can it be more than just "contemporaneous people"? The earliest mention of Fat Yan Zhai is "Si Yuan Zhai" (Yu Rui, author of "Jujube Window Idle Pen").

He said: I have seen the manuscript, and the volume has the comments of his uncle, which cites the facts of the year very accurately; It was renamed "Dream of Red Mansions".

Yurui was born not late, but "Jujube Window Idle Pen" is a very late book, although the year of the work is not examinable, but the book reviews seven kinds of "Continuation of the Dream of Red Mansions" and "Mirror Flowers", it can be seen that it is already a thing in the Jiadao era, but it is far away from when Xueqin was born. The author treats the last forty chapters of Gao's book as the conclusion, admires Xueqin's original work, and denounces Gao's continuation of the mink and the later "continuation of dreams" and the like, which is extremely incisive and thorough, and has a sharp vision, which is actually the first person to research and defend "Dream of Red Mansions". But it's a pity that he mentioned the story about Xueqin's family affairs, and he couldn't help but catch the wind and shadows, and it was not reliable!

There are also errors in the quotes here. But he said that Yan Zhai is the uncle of Xueqin, and the reason for his argument is probably what he said: the person who hears his so-called treasure jade still refers to someone from his uncle's generation, not his own portrayal.

Since he believed in this rumor, and saw that the fat inkstone and "Baoyu" had the same tone and the same generation, he said that the fat and stupid inkstone were also Xueqin's uncles. His "smell" itself is just a disguise of "self-legend", a small transformation, and the essence is different, so Si Yuanzhai's inference that Fatty Yan is "his uncle" is just a secondary talk.
