After the Niaoyun instance is created, you can log in to the server in one of the following ways:

Remote desktop connection (Microsoft TerminalServicesClient, MSTSC): To log in in this way, make sure that the instance can access the Internet. If you didn't purchase bandwidth when you created the instance, you can't use Remote Desktop Connection.

VNC: Regardless of whether you purchased bandwidth when you created the instance, you can log in to the instance through the management terminal on the management console as long as you have a local web browser.

Log in to the instance using Remote Desktop Connection (MSTSC).

Open the Start Menu Remote Desktop connection, or enter mstsc in the Start Menu search. You can also use the shortcut key win+r to start the running window, enter mstsc and press enter to start the remote desktop connection.

In the Remote Desktop Connection dialog box, enter the public IP address of the instance. Click Show Options.

Enter a username, e.g. Niaoyun is the default of Niaoyun. Click Allow me to save my credentials, and then click Connect. This way, you don't need to manually enter your password to log in later.

FTP virtual directories can be used as subdirectories under the home directory of the FTP site, although these virtual directories are not really subdirectories of the home directory. Essentially, a virtual directory creates a subdirectory at the root of an FTP site, and then points to any directory on the local disk or to a shared folder on the network. The steps to create a virtual catalog are described below:

Step 1, open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager window, in the left pane of the FTP Sites directory. Right-click the name of the FTP site and select New and Virtual Directory from the shortcut menu. Open the Virtual Catalog Creation Wizard dialog box and click the Next button directly in the welcome dialog box.

Step 2, in the Virtual Directory Alias dialog box that opens, the user needs to set the name to use when connecting to the virtual directory. The alias of the virtual directory does not have to be the same as the actual directory name it points to. Enter a virtual directory name in the Alias box and click the Next button.

Step 3, open the FTP Site Content Directory dialog box, where you need to specify the actual directory that the virtual directory points to. Click the Browse button to select the actual directory in your local disk, or enter the UNC path of the network share folder in the Path box. Click the "Next" button when the settings are complete.

Tip: If a user enters the UNC path to a shared folder in the Path box, clicking the Next button opens the Security Credentials dialog box, asking for a username and password that has access to the specified shared folder.

Step 4, in the "Virtual Directory Access Permissions" dialog box that opens, you can set the access permissions of the directory, and users can decide whether to select the "Write" checkbox according to their actual needs. Click Next, and click the Finish button to complete the creation process.

Hostease hosting can refer to this process.

    1. Enter a username.

2.In the Password box, type the password for the account.

Be sure to use a secure password. A secure password does not contain words and should include letters, numbers, and symbols.

3.Enter your password again in the password box.

4.Specify the home directory of the FTP account.

The directory area specifies that top-level access to the directory will be granted to the new account. For example, an account with a $dir directory assignment will not be allowed access to the $dir directory, however, it will be able to access the $dir and all of its subfolders.

5.Set a disk space quota. The quota area determines how much disk space will be allocated to the FTP account.

    6.Click Create FTP Account.
