He has long been committed to clinical and basic research in plastic surgery. The related research has been funded by the "National Medium and Long-term Science and Technology Plan", "National Natural Science Key Project Discussion", and the National Twelfth Five-Year Support Plan. In the areas of severe trauma and deformity, body surface organ reconstruction, regenerative medicine, autologous fat grafting, peripheral nerve injury repair, etc., a number of influential new technologies and methods have been proposed and established.
He has published more than 200 articles, and many articles have been published in famous academic journals such as "Lancet", "Cell", "PRS" and other academic journals in the form of "Cover Article", "Editor-in-Chief Review", "Invited Discussion" and "Newsletter". He has put forward and practiced a series of original ideas and technologies such as "application of cells to promote the expansion and growth of basal stud tissues in vivo", "whole face prestructure and reconstruction technology", "3L3M fat grafting technology", "classification and reconstruction technology of burned face".
