Bin Xu, Ph.D., professor and doctoral supervisor, received his Ph.D. degree in power machinery and engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1998. He is currently the dean of the School of Vehicle and Power Engineering of Henan University of Science and Technology, a director of the Chinese Society of Internal Combustion Engines, a director of the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics in Universities, the executive vice president of the Henan Society of Internal Combustion Engines, and an academic and technical leader in Henan Province. Xu Bin, male, was born in Yantai, Shandong Province in February 1963, and envies his ancestral hometown of Shuyang, Jiangsu. He joined the work in July 1985 and joined the party in December 1990. He graduated from the School of Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University with a master's degree in work.

He used to be the deputy director and director of the Investment Cooperation Bureau of Ningbo Economic and Technological Development Zone; Director of the Office of the Beilun District Party Committee (Director of the Office of the Management Committee of Ningbo Development Zone, Director of the Office of the Party Working Committee, and Director of the Reception Office of Beilun District), during which he went to Xingren County, Guizhou Province for temporary training and served as an assistant to the county magistrate. This study put forward the hypothesis for the first time that the core pathogenesis of simple obesity is "lipid and toxin accumulation, pulse stagnation and network obstruction", and on this basis, the acupuncture and moxibustion program of "regulating meridians and channels, lowering lipids and detoxifying" was established and verified. It has also been proved for the first time that acupuncture may be by correcting the abnormal endocrine function of adipocytes in patients with simple obesity: inhibiting the secretion of leptin and resistin, increasing the secretion of adiponectin, increasing the level of soluble leptin receptors and the level of PYY secreted by the gastrointestinal tract, so as to achieve the effect of suppressing appetite to reduce the intake of fat and energy substances, and correcting the disorder of glucose and lipid metabolism in the body, so as to achieve the effect of inhibiting lipotoxicity in patients with simple obesity.

2) From 2004 to 2006, he presided over the project of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology, "Development of Standardized Clinical Program for Acupuncture and Moxibustion** Simple Obesity", which has been completed. For the first time, the clinical protocol of acupuncture and moxibustion for simple obesity was proposed.

3) As the main participant, completed the "Research on the Mechanism of Acupuncture and Moxibustion ** Non-insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus (National Natural Science ** Project: 39770929)", passed the appraisal of the Provincial Science and Technology Commission in 2001, and reached the leading level in similar research on Chinese medicine and acupuncture at home and abroad, and won the third prize of Jiangsu Science and Technology Progress Award in 2002.
