There were countless Buddhas in the past, countless Buddhas now, and countless Buddhas in the future. Every Buddha who becomes a Buddha will establish a religion in his world and become the ancestor of one religion. So there are countless Buddhas. In our world, the current Buddha is Shakyamuni.
