Cave Man is a late Paleolithic human fossil in North China, belonging to Homo sapiens.
The Peak Cave Man was named after the Peak Cave found at the top of the Peking Man site in Zhoukoudian Dragon Bone Mountain, Beijing.
Discovered in 1930, 1933 In 1934, the Cenozoic Research Laboratory of the China Geological Survey was excavated by Pei Wenzhong. Along with human fossils, stone tools, bone and horn tools, and piercing ornaments have been unearthed, and the earliest known burial in China has been discovered. The geological age is the end of the Late Pleistocene, and according to radiocarbon dating, the age is similar to that of the local scene.
There are dense forests on the hills, and vast grasslands below. Tigers, cave bears, wolves, maned cheetahs, civet cats, cows, and sheep live among them.
The cave people at the top of the mountain hunted for fishing and hunting and the skeleton of the Peking spotted deer, which should be their main hunting objects. Fossils of large thoracic and tail vertebrae of grass carp and carp were also found in the site, indicating that the cave man was able to fish for aquatic animals and expand the scope of production activities to the waters, which indicates the improvement of human ability to understand and use the natural world.

Cave Man is the earliest known Homo sapiens in China. It is the earliest intelligent primitive human known in China.
The cave people represent the proto-race, but there are some differences between individuals, indicating that the race was in the process of being formed at that time, and some morphological details were not yet fully formed. But some scholars believe that the age of race formation predates the cave people.
From an evolutionary point of view, the cave people belong to the late Homo sapiens, they have left the ranks of ape-humans and entered the category of humans, and their appearance and brain development are almost indistinguishable from modern humans.
In addition, the cave people already had the first social behavior, they established kinship relations with matrilineal blood, shared tools, shared food, etc., and then the cave people would also exchange daily necessities, learn to sew clothes, etc., which marked the beginning of modern humans.

The site of the cave man on the top of the mountain is located in BeijingZhoukou storeThe ruins of Dragon Bone Mountain.
The cave man at the top of the mountain belongs to the late Homo sapiens. It is named after the cave found at the top of the Peking Man site in Zhoukoudian Dragon Bone Mountain, Beijing.
The Cave Man Cultural Site was discovered in 1930 and excavated in 1933 and 1934 and has been excavated. The bottom layer of the cave culture is piled directly on the first layer of the "Peking Man" site.
The entrance of the cave on the top of the mountain is to the north, and it was demolished during the excavation, and the mouth of the north is artificially excavated. The site of the cave is composed of four parts: the entrance of the cave, the human chamber, the lower chamber and the lower cave, the first three parts have found human fossils and cultural relics, and the lower cave has only found animal fossils of the whole world.
Highlights of the cave man at the top of the mountain:
The physique of the cave people has improved considerably. The widest part of the skull is near the parietal tuberosity, the teeth are smaller, the crown is higher, and the jaw is lower.
The anterior internal curvature is extremely pronounced, the chin is prominent, and the brain volume has reached 1300 1500 ml. These characteristics are consistent with modern humans. The height of males is about meters, and that of females is meters.
The cultural relics of the cave people are rich and diverse. Stone tools are few and crudely made, similar to those of Peking Man stone tools. There is a bone needle in the bone vessel, the body of the needle is smooth, slightly curved, and there is a pinhole at one end (dug with other pointed objects), which shows that the cave man was already able to sew clothes and make and use fine fibers.
The ornaments are colorful and have perforated animal teeth, cockle shells, stone beads, and small gravel.
The supraorbital bone of the fish, the short bony canal, and the vertebrae of the fish with the transverse and spinous processes removed. The holes in the teeth and gravel are drilled or dug from both sides. The periphery of the hole is mostly red, which may be caused by the stringing of red bands. It means the labor productivity of the cave people.
It has been greatly improved, and there is no need to work all day long in life.
