Cai Yuanpei resigned as president of Peking University several times in the past few years.

On May 3, Beijing Normal University was renamed Peking University, and was immediately named "national", which was the first university in Chinese history to be named "national", and Yan Fu became the first president after the renaming.
From 1927 to 1927, Cai Yuanpei served as the president of Peking University, reforming Peking University and opening up the style of "academic" and "free". From 1920 to 1930, Cai Yuanpei also served as the president of the Sino-French University.
Cai Yuanpei (January 11, 1868 - March 5, 1940), and once assumed the pseudonyms Cai Zhen and Zhou Ziyu, Han nationality, was born in Shanyin County, Shaoxing, Zhejiang (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang), and was originally from Zhuji, Zhejiang.
