Why did women in Switzerland convert to Islam?

Barbara Wilgigi climbed the stairs and strode into this cosy farmhouse. In the stove, the burning flame crackled, and Barbara added a few more sticks of firewood. She lives with her husband, three sons, nieces and her mother in Albania on a farm in Seeland, Bern, which was once her parents' home.

In 1992, at the age of 23, Barbara converted to Islam. "For me, Islam is the ideal religion," was her most straightforward reason for conversion. Through Islam, she found inner peace.

Nine years ago, she began wearing a headscarf like a traditional Muslim woman. On weekdays, she prays regularly, fasts (i.e., has certain restrictions on diet and sex), and eats halal food "as much as possible." As a native of Switzerland, she can only turn one eye open and one eye to Swiss cheese fondue.

Religious practices have been repeatedly amplified by reports, and foreign religious traditions and indigenous stereotypes have reached the peak of conflict over a single piece of paper.

Women's autonomous emancipation. Religion and culture are so distinct that they cannot be compared. On the other hand, women in Western societies feel that they have always been religiously deficient, and Islam fills this gap.

Islam's many traditions, which seem alien to Western culture, leave Switzerland both confused and suspicious. Islam, which respects women's rights, really exists.

Islam has unique advantages in terms of political structure, organization and operation, and distribution of class interests, and has considerable political power, which is the same as the demand for women's rights.

Because Islam respects women, Swiss ladies crave respect.

Because women's personal rights are further emancipated, and Islam respects women's rights and interests, they will be converted.

I found inner peace and freedom and rights in life.
