Punch bullies. One day in the early years of the Ming Dynasty, Shi Nai'an was playing on a tea mountain and met a bully who was forcibly seizing the farmer's tea garden. Furious, he rushed forward to stop it.
The bully saw that the person was right, so he had to sneak away. But afterwards, when the bully found out where the visitor lived, he paid a group of thugs to surround Shi Nai'an's residence. Seeing this scene, Shi Nai'an just sneered slightly, and walked out of the door calmly.
When the thugs saw him bare-handed, they rushed forward. One of them, a black-faced man, holding an iron rod in his hand, slashed at the top of Shi Nai'an's head with the sound of the wind. Shi Nai'an turned sideways and shook his head, a "downwind pull flag", let go of the stick edge, grabbed the iron rod with both hands, and at the same time flew up with his right foot, kicking it on the lower abdomen of the big man, and the guy rolled out more than a foot away.
Shi Nai'an danced the iron rod he snatched, and a whirlwind swept away, scaring the guys into fleeing in all directions.
Stick to beat scoundrels. There is a year of the Lantern Festival, Shi Nai'an went to the street to watch the lanterns. Suddenly, I saw a wicked young man insulting a woman at the end of the street.
He became furious, lifted the guy with his right hand, and threw him to the ground like a dead dog. The evil young man was so frightened that he kowtowed and begged for mercy, and Shi Nai'an spared him. The next day, that guy gathered seven or eight scoundrels to take revenge.
Shi Nai'an unhurriedly found a thick rope, asked the scoundrels to tie his legs with the rope, and then told them to pull hard. However, although they were so tired that their faces were red and their necks were thick, Shi Nai'an's feet seemed to have roots, and they didn't move at all. Then, he took out the iron rod and struck an "oolong tail", interrupting a large poplar tree next to him with a "click".
When the scoundrels saw that he had such skills, they knew that they had met a master, and they all kowtowed and admitted defeat. Later, when Shi Nai'an wrote "Water Margin", he also integrated this personal experience into the plot of Lu Zhishen's subduing of the crowd in Daxiangguo Temple.
