The Ant's Story Introduction
De Holdoble, by Wilson; Translated by Xiahou Bing.
This is a comprehensive introduction to ants.
Another of the author's books, The Ant, was published in 1990 and received great academic success and unusually wide social attention, earning it the Pulitzer Prize.
In order to make it easier for the general reader to read, the author removed the academic content of the book as much as possible and wrote the book in more popular language.
In this interesting book, the author gives a detailed introduction to the way ants live, their unique social form, strict social organization, scientific social division of labor, etc., and explains why ants have achieved such amazing success in their own world. The authors' findings suggest that the "quick and irresistible" power of sincere cooperation among members of the ant world is the main reason why ants continue to survive and thrive effectively despite nature and many natural predators. And all this is achieved with the help of a high-level tuxedo of chemical exchange; The mixture of substances released by ants from different parts of the body constitutes a wonderful "language", which effectively distinguishes friend from foe and neatly organizes the action of common survival.
In this book, which is not very complicated, the author introduces ant populations all over the world, especially gives a very interesting detailed explanation of the social form of the ant world that is quite similar to humans, so that people can learn a lot of biological knowledge in a relaxed and enjoyable pastime reading, and thus deeply call every reader to environmental awareness.
