Do you want to make the C drive bigger? Only 80g hard drive ......C disk: 10g It only does the system and necessary software (such as: antivirus software, office, ** device......)
C disk: The remaining capacity is less than 10G, which can be used for system and software backup!
This is also my habit of doing the system all the time, and I hope it can help you.
Partitioning can be done with magic partitioning software, search on the Internet, a lot. You can adjust the partition capacity without destroying the data.
-
Repartitioning,It's easy to use the ghost version of the system to quickly format the 80G hard disk into four disks (equal capacity),But pay attention to back up the hard disk data。
-
Use the installed CD, enter the DOS state, enter (uppercase and lowercase don't matter): "diskgen" (generally called "Chinese hard disk partition" anyway, mine is there), after entering, press enter to divide the main partition, (note: the counting unit MB) in the upper left corner of the first button, select "divide the logical partition", the counting unit is the same as above, quoting the second floor:
D drive: The remaining capacity of less than 10G can be used for system and software backup!
Note: 1g = 1024mb 1mb = 1024kb 1kb = 1024b

The reason is that system protection is enabled, and the solution is to turn off system protection.
Here's how:
1. Right-click the desktop computer icon - Properties, as shown in the following figure:
2. Click System Protection, as shown below
3. Select the C drive and click Configure, as shown in the figure below
4. Click Apply and OK.
5. Then enter the disk management, you can compress the C drive and allocate the space of the C drive.

Not too clear.
If you want to partition the space.
The multi-partition software on the Internet can be directly divided on the local machine to transfer the partition space.
-
What do you need to compress space for? Isn't 200g enough? I don't understand, what do you need to do, if you can, I'll help you refer to it.
-
You are compressing the disk, not the disk partition, compressing the disk means: if your E disk is 100G, there are already 80G files in it, and you want to divide the E disk into two disks (at this time, the data will not be lost if you divide the two disks), then you can use the function of compressing the volume, however, it can only be divided into 20G at most, and 80G is occupied by your files!!
Added note, if the 80g is stored on the hard disk continuously, if it is not continuous, the disk will automatically connect the discontinuous ones together when you compress the volume, similar to disk defragmentation. If you look at the above prompt when you partition, it means that a certain file can't be moved (why can't it be moved, ask Microsoft), so you can't "press" the dividing point in the middle of the two disks that is about to be divided into two disks on the non-movable data, otherwise the file will be destroyed, so, even if there is 20G of space enough for you to compress, however, there is a point that hinders you, so you can only divide 2G, understand?
-
The C drive is defragmented first, and then compressed, and you can enter the desired value.
-
Install a partition assistant, I used to do that. It seems that if you want to use the partition tool that comes with the system, you can't install the software before.

Just use the system disc you have in hand. PM is a great tool for resizing partitions without destroying the original partition structure. Here's how:
1. Start the computer, enter the BIOS, set the computer as a disc to boot, save and exit, and the computer will restart;
2. After starting, enter the menu of disc startup, select PE, and enter the PE system;
3. Run PE's built-in partition tool program PM. Since you want to enlarge the C drive by 10 g, you can only separate the 10 g free space from the adjacent D drive. (If the D drive is a logical partition of the extended partition, you must first separate the logical partition into a free partition, and then separate the free partition from the extended partition.)
Adjusting the size of each partition takes a lot of time, depending on the amount of data stored in your two partitions (C and D) (if there is a lot of data in drive D, it is recommended to move the data that can be moved to other disks first, such as E and F);
4. Right-click the D disk - adjust the partition capacity, and call up the previous idle capacity of the disk to 10G;
5. In the menu tree on the left, right-click the extended partition - adjust the partition capacity, and expand the free space before the expanded partition to 10G;
6. Similarly, due to the previous two steps) have extracted 10G free space, expand the main partition C drive by 10G, and click Execute.
When all is done, save and restart, and you're done.
You can partition yourself.
Step 1Right-click on This PC, select Manage, and then select Disk Management in the left list of the Computer Management window. In Windows 10, you can also right-click on the start menu and directly select the "Disk Management" function. >>>More
